Aquarius (January 20- February 18)

Your February Horoscope by Susan Miller

Over the past few years, you've had to take whatever crumbs the universe had to throw your way. If you read the other signs' forecasts in those years, you knew that clearly, things were not equal. You probably felt on the short end of the stick, understandably, but now all that will change. The universe is about to make a correction.

Hold on to your hat, dear Aquarius. You are in for a rollickingly good time, with swift changes and really big news that will change your life for the better in very appreciable ways. In fact with the Sun, new moon, Mercury, Neptune, and in a few weeks, Venus, you'll be the headliner of the zodiac this month.

What's more, this month heralds the start of a two-year series of eclipses to fall in the Aquarius-Leo spectrum, and the very first eclipse will arrive on February 6.

If you begin February feeling jumpy and restless, it's simply due to your prescient nature. You sense that something big is about to happen, but you just can't put your finger on what exactly it will be. In the electrically charged atmosphere that is your world this month, if you can't sleep or feel that you are fidgeting more than usual, it would all be due to the coming eclipse in Aquarius.

You won't have to wait long to know the score. On or just after February 6, the new moon solar eclipse will set things in motion. All sorts of new situations and opportunities will come up and things will begin to happen so fast that you may feel swept along with the tide. Allow this to happen, but keep paddling your boat in the direction you want to go.

You will have a rare chance here to decide what you hope to create in your life. Is it more love? To gain greater career attention and influence? Build a better cash flow? Enjoy stronger health? Start a family or spend more time with your children? Find a way to express your creativity? This month, as you chart your course, no dream will be too big to fulfill.

You may have to give up one thing in your life to enjoy gain in another. Often to create the biggest changes we have to create room first to let it in. If you have too many people who waste your time, unnecessary responsibilities that wear you out, clutter that slows you down, and mountains of unfinished projects that remind you to get organized, you won't have room for the new exciting things due to come your way. Spend time now choosing what you want to keep and what should go. If you don't make room, you will be like a computer with too many applications open - a computer ready to crash. Although this year will be an important one for you, next year, 2009, will be even more so. Next year, with the good fortune planet Jupiter in a rare tour of Aquarius, you are due for the best year of your life.

You are known to be very independent and creative, and known to delight in doing just the opposite when someone says that whatever you have your eye on doing is not possible. Just to prove them wrong you will pull it all off with confidence and style, for you can't stand it when someone says, "You can't." This type of willfulness is about to come out in you again, thanks to the solar eclipse February 6, and that's good! That is what you were born to do!

A solar eclipse is similar to the power of three new moons. New options that come up now are about to be set out like magnificent French pastries on a silver tray. Your only problem will be to decide which goodies to put on your plate. Because of the solar eclipse, a whole new road will open for you, but it will be important not to scatter yourself over too wide a course. Fortunately as a fixed sign Aquarius, you tend to give your "all" to whatever you train your mind upon, and that's your secret to success.

The closer your birthday is to February 6, the more dramatic the changes will be in coming months. This is the first eclipse of a series due in 2008 and 2009. The next eclipses in this family of Aquarius- Leo will arrive on August 1 and 16 this year. We have one last eclipse in a long series of Virgo-Pisces due this month, February 20. Those highlighted (and at times, drained) your finances, but after this month, those eclipses won't be back for many years. More about the February 20 eclipse later.

The planetary action this month, especially thanks to the positive, friendly solar eclipse February 6, will allow you much more room to express creative ideas. This new moon and Sun will conjoin Neptune, planet of glamour, now in Aquarius. Neptune is in what we call "mutual reception" to Uranus, a mathematical concept that tells us Uranus will be acting like Neptune, and Neptune, more like Uranus, in a friendly buddy-buddy association. This bonding of two planets will increase the electrical current in your chart, turning you into a virtual idea machine. You'll be popping ideas out quicker than bills out of an ATM machine, and best of all, VIPs will tell you that your ideas are ten times as valuable.

Mars will be in beautiful angle to Neptune too this month, giving you plenty of energy and sex appeal. Mars is in your 5th house of love at the time of the eclipse, now moving at top speed (not retrograde as it was last month), so your powers of attraction should be strong. Go ahead, flirt your heart out - this month you'll be turning heads wherever you go, and may have no idea the reaction you're causing!

Venus will move into Aquarius on February 18, so wait until at least that time before you buy new clothes or reserve spa treatments or salon and special grooming treatments.

However, keep your birthday gift money under lock and key until at LEAST February 18, for Mercury will be retrograde until February 17. While spending for any expensive items is never a good idea when Mercury is retrograde, buying electronics is the biggest no-no. This month you will want to get well beyond both eclipses before you buy, for these solar and lunar phenomena are known to change priorities. Wait until March to shop and you'll be glad you did. Venus will remain in Aquarius until March 12, so you won't lose out by waiting to act next month, and you'll be glad you did.

Let's talk now about the second, lunar eclipse of February 20. This will be a full moon with very strong power and is set to fall in your 8th house of joint money matters. It seems a large bill may come due now, or you may decide to pay out for a very important purchase, say, for a house or car. Watch to see what happens within five days of this date.

It is also possible you will conclude a long-discussed deal or settlement, such as the division of property at the end of a marriage or business, or the reading of a will that has been contested in the courts for years and that will at long last be finalized. If nothing happens this month, then look to next month, near March 19, plus or minus five days.

The 8th house is not just about money but transformations, too. You may hear news about a female relative who needs an operation at the February 20 eclipse, and if so, you will need to be near her. Or, you may decide to have a medical or dental procedure done on yourself. Surgery comes under the 8th house domain of transformations - the surgeon removes all that your body no longer needs so that your body can renew itself.

If you need an operation and you trust your doctor, then do not fear the procedure - welcome it. Be glad there are good doctors in the world who perfectly understand your condition. If you can first get past the eclipse before you schedule your surgery, so much the better. Eclipses bring a whirlwind of activity with them, and it may be wise to wait to let the dust settle. I would recommend planning for a February 25 surgery date or anytime later. If you can't wait because of urgent medical reasons, that's fine, too - go with the flow.

I am sorry to report the next aspect, due February 24, that could turn out to be the lowest point of the month - possibly of the year. Saturn will oppose the Sun then, an annual event that makes everyone, of every sign, feel worn to the bone. The Sun rules your solar 7th house of partners, so your spouse may be critical. Or it may be that a business partner, manager, collaborator, or other person with whom you have a close one-on-one relationship will be unusually annoying. For sure, this day will be nobody's favorite day of the year.

You may be feeling depressed about the amount of bills that have piled up on your desk on this day, too. If so, realize that the mood you are in may stem from sheer exhaustion. Get more rest and tackle these questions another day.

Now let's turn to a happier topic: romance. As I mentioned earlier, your sex appeal and charm will be very magnetic now and you should have no trouble meeting interesting prospective partners. You'll be what they call "lightning in a bottle," dear Aquarius, so if you are looking for love, try to circulate this month. You may be amazed at how strong your powers of attraction truly are!

A blind date you have on February 1 will have real staying power, a day when Venus and Jupiter will combine stunning energies for a truly rare and sparkling day. The moon, in fire sign Sagittarius, will complement this pair and provide an extra glow.

The solar eclipse, February 6, will bring so many indications of a fresh start for you that there's no reason why love couldn't be part of the equation as well. Adopt a good attitude, show confidence, and expect the best to happen - this will be your winning combination. Your whole life is due to change soon, in the best ways!

Valentine's Day could be one of the best ones you've seen in years. Until now, you've been beset with Saturn opposed to your Sun for two long years, a very tough aspect. If single, you may have gone through a number of relationships before you developed a better idea of the person who would be your very own "true north." The moon on Valentine's Day will be in Gemini, and Mars will be there too, both lighting the most romantic part of your chart. Go for it!

If you want to call a romantic old flame to see if you can reconnect, do so from February 1 to 18, when your chances of clicking will be best.

Your very best romantic dates: February 1, 6, 7, 14, 15, and 29. Singles will do especially well on February 1 and 6.

Summary

Birthday month should be divine. With the Sun, a new moon, Neptune, Mercury, and later, Venus, all crowded in Aquarius, you'll be the center of attention. You will smartly and confidently take control of your life by making a number of key decisions. A new lifestyle will shape up for you in the coming year, evident in the days and weeks after the powerful solar eclipse appears on February 6.

A key financial matter will be finalized on or near February 21.

Don't implement your plans just yet, however, because the environment surrounding you will be quite variable, producing erratic results. Nothing will be precisely as it seems, and only later, in weeks to come, will you see this to be true. This is why you must wait.

A very positive solar eclipse will occur in Aquarius on February 6, so you can expect your birthday year ahead to be filled with change and fresh starts. This will be doubly true if your birthday falls within five days of February 6. You may move, take a new job, find a new love, travel - or more!

Your new path will open, immediately or at some point in the coming year. When the shift does occur, you will know in a flash of insight that your life has improved. Some elements of your blueprints will shift or need to be dropped when you see those priorities are suddenly less important to you, while other points you dearly desire (but assumed would take years to accomplish) will bring breakthroughs much sooner than you ever anticipated. Eclipses are known to speed up timetables at a dizzying speed.

Before you make any big announcements, however, wait until Mercury is out of retrograde. Mercury is in Aquarius this month, so you'll feel the haywire effects of this planet out of phase more powerfully than most. It IS a good time to look back and see how far you've come. Pat yourself on the back for the wise decisions you've made. Concerning the few decisions that proved "off" - don't worry about spilled milk. You are in the process of building a dream, and in any creative effort there will always be a mistake or two, and that is to be expected. Although Mercury will go direct on February 18, wait until March to move forward.

There will be a second eclipse on February 20, this time a full moon lunar eclipse in Virgo, likely to bring an ending or culmination to a major financial matter. If you have been in the process of getting a divorce, for example, this eclipse will bring the final agreement, assuming you've not agreed on a settlement over the past few months. A court case decision may be delivered to you, or talks about a commission, royalty, licensing deal, or other funds owed to you will be finalized. If you owe money, there will be no way to avoid paying up.

You may feel that the whole episode is a bit sad - Saturn will orbit close to this full moon and Saturn is the planet that often forces us to be practical and forgo unrealistic dreams in favor of ones that have a real chance of success. Although this eclipse is not due to be an easy eclipse, when it's finally over you will probably feel relieved and glad that you will be able to use your energy in more productive ways.

Also, there is nothing like discussions about money to reveal character or competency in a partner or adversary. In that sense, this full moon eclipse may be an eye opener.

In love, you'll be in a superb position to magnetize a new romantic interest or to bond closer to the one you love. With so many planets in Aquarius, you'll be in the driver's seat, a feeling you'll enjoy. In that respect, you get to pick and choose if single, and if attached, to get the full attention of your partner in the most loving way.

If single, be sure to schedule a blind date for February 1 when Venus and Jupiter will bring a sizzling evening just made for romance. February 6, a solar eclipse, could also bring on an electric meeting, so you really do need to socialize in February's first week.

Mars has been moving through your romance sector but has been in retrograde since November 15. Happily, as of January 31, Mars turned to direct speed and, now in fellow air sign Gemini, will help you in a powerful way to find love in the coming weeks. In fact, February could turn out to be one of your favorite months of the year for fun and love. There is nothing like the Red Planet to help change the direction of your life, and in this case, for the better!

If you are single and still pining for an old flame - give a call. Few could resist the full range of your charms this month! Mercury in retrograde is urging you to look back, so go ahead, see if you can make a go of things. You have nothing to lose.

Valentine's Day brings together a bouquet of fabulous planetary vibrations from Aquarius, and the moon will glide in compatible Gemini. Expect the best! You may even have to choose between two ardent admirers!
