Let's start at the top of the month. The most important day to remember will be the new moon, May 5, appearing in your house of home and family. This new moon will orbit with the Sun and both will be beautifully angled to Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. No matter what you have planned to do in regard to your residence or other property, whatever comes up, you'll soon find you are at the right place at precisely the right time.

Venus is due to visit your home sector (fourth house) through May 26, and will ensure that you create beautiful, and possibly even lucrative, improvements to your home. You seem to have many ideas, and for the first time, all conditions appear to be right to set them in place - no more waiting! You'd be wise to browse the stores and Internet in the first few days of the month. Also, collect estimates and read up on critical reviews of products and services that you are considering purchasing. Once you reach May 5, put your cards on the table and get ready to voice your decisions.

The new moon May 5 will not only encourage growth and beauty with your home and other property you own or lease, it will also help you improve certain conditions involving family members, and among those, your focus appears to be on one of your parents. If you have wanted to help your mother or father in some specific way, the path will open now, and you would be wise to follow it.

There will be reasons to act purposely as soon as you make your decisions this month. Mercury will be retrograde from May 26 to June 19, so for best results, finish up plans, deals, and purchases by mid-month. It is never wise to spend large amounts of money during a Mercury retrograde period, but it is even more important not to spend on machines or electronics.

If you need to order furniture, buy electronics, sign estimates or a lease, or close on a house, do so no later than May 12. The confusing and static-filled atmosphere that Mercury will create will be at play well in advance of May 26, as soon as the end of May 13, making May 12 your last safe day to make commitments, purchases, and other key actions.

If you can't act that quickly, specifically in the month's first twelve days, then delay ordering your new products or making decisions, such as whether you should buy that house, until after June 23. If you CAN make decisions prior to May 12, then you won't have to wait, and that's even better.

Mars is about to enter Leo now, from May 9 to June 30, and admittedly, that sign is not an easy place for you to host this active planet, for a Leo Mars will directly oppose your Sun. On a personal level, you may find you are not getting the support of a partner that you expect, and it may even provoke an argument or two. Indeed, you may encounter a bumpy phase, when every idea you sprout will need to be explained in detail and negotiated at length. This will be true at work or at home.

By the time you get to May 19, you are likely to have a big, happy career event to celebrate to the hilt. This is a big day! Watch this date, and when you do, give this full moon on May 19 a plus or minus four days of influence, with the more likely result to occur just after May 19.

This professional development is sure to thrill you (no matter what comes up), as the full moon will be in elegant angle to both Jupiter (happiness) and Uranus (surprise). I doubt you will see this coming, but when it hits, you'll know instantly that this position is innately right for you. Jupiter's involvement shows you will be given quite a generous salary, too. If a new job is not in the offing, then at the very least, you will get some very exciting publicity about the work you've been doing all along.

I find your chart particularly interesting because last month, on April 20, you had a full moon in the very same area, your solar tenth house of career. Now you will have a second full moon in the very same area this month, in the same sign, Scorpio, in a later degree. This is very rare - we tend to only get one full moon in each of the twelve houses of our horoscope each year. This tells me that something is definitely brewing in your professional life, and it all may relate back to events that were put in motion at the eclipse in Aquarius on February 6. Even untoward events (should you experience any) will work to your favor, so carry that secret in your heart at all times.

If your birthday falls on February 6 or within a day or two, you will almost certainly experience huge life shifts, and this will become apparent before you celebrate your next birthday in February 2009. The two full moons in your career sector that I just discussed may be linked to events that date back to February - seems so. Sometimes VIPs make decisions behind closed doors, but we are not privy to them until much later, say, now or in recent weeks.

Think back to last month near April 20. (That was a Sunday, so you probably heard news in the days that followed). Perhaps you can think of those career events as "phase one" in a longer process, for that full moon fell in early degrees of Scorpio. If you were born in January, you may have had an obstacle that you needed to fix at that time.

Now you will have a full moon that falls in Scorpio again (Scorpio rules your fame sector) at 29 degrees, considered to be "the degree of completion," as signs only go to 29 degrees 59 minutes before they go into the next sign. Events at 29 degrees tend to wrap up talks or processes. If you get an offer that you like now, it looks like this will be the job for you.

The next window of opportunity will open at the new moon in six months, on October 28 and in the two weeks that follow. That will be a favorable, formidable time for you too, so, as you see, you will have a choice: whether to take a position that's on tap now, or wait until late October.

It's also possible that this month you will get outstanding praise for work well done, and that the critical praise will form another jewel in your crown that you will trade against in later months. As discussed earlier, with Mars in Leo, you will have certain critics or uncooperative people around you this month. Those people will have to be handled with kid gloves. It is also possible that you will conclude talks now for a job that won't take place until six months from now, in November - these things do happen, especially in high level echelons. Your new company will have to make room for you and allow you time to tie up loose ends at your present job.

If you do make a big announcement now - and the aspects truly glitter, so you might - you need to be mindful that Mercury will go retrograde from May 26 through June 19. Mercury will be in your solar fifth house, ruling romance, affairs of children, and all creative efforts. However, Mercury RULES your house of credit, loans, mortgage, perks, and financial income and outgo that would be outside of your salary. If you are about to negotiate the benefits of your new job, for example, realize that Mercury retrograde will get in the way and bring up glitches or possible resistance on some points that will take time to sort out.

I would like you to wrap up all your talks by that full moon period, May 19, and no later than May 22. With each day that passes after May 22, you will run into problems with Mercury, even though this planet won't retrograde until May 26. If you already know you are going to accept a job, then start serious talks the moment May takes off - ideally I would like you to have things covered and settled by May 12.

My ideal timetable for you does not seem possible, however, not with a full moon in your honors, awards, and achievement sector (tenth house) due May 19. If you can't settle things earlier, then ideally I would like you to take time to think about this offer and if you want it, accept it in writing or verbally on or after June 23, but not before. Also it is wise not to start a job when Mercury is retrograde either, as the job description is sure to change.

You have two extraordinarily fortunate days that I would like you to write on your calendar this month, and they can be used for almost any purpose you want. Those will be May 12 and 21.

On May 12, the Sun will receive shimmering rays from Jupiter, planet of happiness, and Uranus, your ruler and planet of unexpected news - in this case, it will be good news.

Now on May 21, Jupiter and Uranus won't be talking with the Sun but rather with one another, making this your five-star day. The last time these two planets met in a conversation like this (and it's rare) was two months ago, March 28. This is the second of three meetings, and the third, remarkably, will be on November 13. When planets retrograde, as Jupiter will begin to do this month, it is common for three aspects to occur, and then after the last one, the two planets spin off into space and go their separate ways. This aspect is considered completely transformational.

Romantically, your social life will pick up in the second half of May. This is probably because you will have so many other things to think about, namely home, property, and family, as well as very exciting career opportunities that are emerging in your life early in the month.
