Over the past two years, financial considerations have ruled almost every decision you made. By now you are tired of all this monetary maneuvering. Happily, very soon, your financial picture will improve dramatically. You will be able to breathe, and the change will be so refreshing, you'll feel you've been given a miracle. Your problem has been Saturn in your second house of earned income, which acted as a wet blanket on all financial negotiations and conditions. On September 2, Saturn will move out of this house and not return until August 2034. You'll be free, dear Cancer! You'll be free!
Since July 2005, Saturn has made making a decent income remarkably hard to do. Employers had little money to offer you, so no matter how impressed they were with your qualifications, and devotion to your job, you were not able to get substantial raises. It had never been so difficult to earn a dollar. It was hard not to take your lack of ability to make money personally, but chances are, it really didn't have anything to do with you. Ancient astrologers likened the aspect you just had with famine and the appearance of the locusts, where nothing grew and nothing but sandstorms blew across the land.
If you WERE making money, either you had something else in your chart that was counteracting this hard aspect (something I cannot see from where I sit) or, more likely, you were working hard, but not compensated enough for your work. Now all that will be redressed. From now on, when you ask for salary, you must speak up and not be influenced by the difficult negotiations you suffered through in the past.
The solar eclipse on September 11 falls in your negotiation house. More importantly, all solar eclipses bring Leo, the natural ruler of your second house of earned income, into the discussion. That means there is a good chance that you will see a financial breakthrough this month. Watch the type of phone calls you get on or just after September 11. You may get a lucrative job offer, especially if you've been out actively seeking work.
If your birthday falls on July 10 or within five days of this date, you will benefit most from this solar eclipse.
If you don't get an opportunity to increase your income near September 11 or the week that follows, wait until the full moon September 26. A terrific promotion or new position could easily come through for you at that time. If you haven't been looking for a better job, you have time - begin dropping hints with your boss at the start of the month and take any calls you get from headhunters.
Saturn will now move into a part of your chart that cannot harm you. Now in your communication house, you will learn how to express yourself clearly and with style. No matter how skilled you are as a writer, speaker, editor, researcher, or teacher that you happen to be, you will learn to express ideas, thoughts, or stories in new ways and in different venues. If you are a software engineer, you "write" for a living too, and there will be developments for you as well.
While you may find that your work in the future requires more preparation, you will enjoy the process and you will have lots to show for your efforts. If, for example, you have always worked on magazine stories or doing marketing reports, you may be given a chance to be on television or radio, or to produce segments or corporate satellite feeds. There are many possibilities - you get the idea.
The new moon solar eclipse September 11 will fall in this same third house. Uranus, a rather explosive, volatile planet, will be at hard angles to the Sun - you need to watch what you say this week. You could innocently venture into a discussion (that suddenly escalates into a nuclear meltdown) about politics, religion, or another controversial subject, particularly with a sibling or neighbor. You may think you are simply being logical and intellectual but in so doing completely discount the emotional impact you are having on the other person. Be careful. When Mars opposes Pluto on September 21, things could get even tenser.
Travel is a strong likelihood this month too, especially if you go to a nearby location during the week of September 11. Mercury, planet of travel, will be in perfect angle to Jupiter on September 13, so that would be a great day for a face-to-face with a client.
All month Mars will be in the behind-the-scenes house, so you may not have all the information you need about what is happening behind closed doors until Saturn moves out of this sector on September 28. At that time Mars will go into Cancer, a terrific development, because from that point on you will be in control and in the driver's seat. If you have been having talks but can't seem to get an answer on those talks, everything will come to light at month's end. There is no need to be anxious - everything is moving in precisely the right direction.
Let's talk about Mars for a moment, because what's to come is really exciting! When Mars comes to your sign, as it does once every two years, it comes to help you launch a whole new cycle. Mars brings energy and enthusiasm to whatever you touch, ensuring that your efforts will have a certain presence and luster - in other words, your efforts are noticed.
Usually Mars stays in a sign for seven weeks, but now you will have Mars in Cancer from September 28 to May 9, a very long time. Part of that time Mars will be retrograde - from November 15 to January 30, Mars won't be in as strong a position - so you may encounter delays. The rest of the time, Mars will be working hard for you, so February through early May 2008 certainly looks positively sensational for seeing progress on all your deepest desires! Keep that time span in mind, for it's the right time to launch your dearest projects and endeavors. Jupiter will be in Capricorn by then, which means you will get amazing help from a middleman, agent, broker, collaborator, or spouse / companion / sweetheart, too.
October SHOULD be good, for Mars will be moving in a sure, strong, direct course at the time, but Mercury will slow things down by being retrograde from October 13 to 31. That means that most of us will spend a great deal of time backtracking over previously done projects to root out flaws. (Mercury in retrograde is one aspect that affects everyone in almost the same way.) You really shouldn't sign papers in October, even prior to the retrograde.
You will feel Mercury's impending retrograde from the start of October, making it not ideal for launching new projects. You can work on projects you've already launched, but I wouldn't advise you to seed new ventures in October, nor should you sign contracts then either. Sometimes what we do just prior to a Mercury retrograde period has to be mopped up during the retrograde period, another reason to hold back.
Cancer loves home and family, but someone connected with your home has been giving you tummy aches. This has been true ever since Venus went retrograde on July 27. (Venus rules your home sector). Now Venus moves forward again on September 8 and everything will soon seem right again. Whew! Home related plans will bolt forward and even relationships with such people as your roommate, spouse, decorator, contractor, landlord, or even the cable guy should improve. Onward and upward!
One point about Venus - for the coming month, Venus will be in your earned income sector, so this is another indication (other than the ones I discussed earlier) that your finances are about to take an upturn!
Chances to enjoy romance should also improve, too. Pluto rules your love sector, but has been snoozing since it went retrograde on March 31. Now, Pluto wakes up on September 7, the date this dwarf planet moves direct. Pluto will stay in top form for months. Wow, dear Cancer, on so many levels, life really is getting better!
This month your best romantic dates will be: September 1 - 2, 5 - 6, 15, 20, 25, and 29.
Summary
Finances are finally looking up, now that Saturn, the planet of lessons learned, has moved out of your second house of income. You likely found it hard to get the compensation you deserved since Saturn first entered this house in July 2005, for Saturn, the taskmaster planet, was bent on teaching you the value of money. After two years, you've been enlightened on that score (to say the least), and now more cash will flow to you again. If in the unlikely case you've been happy with your salary, well, just wait - you will see your financial picture get even better.
You may see a development as quickly as September 11 or in the days that follow. That's the day of the solar eclipse, and since Leo rules your earned income sector, you could easily see more money from developments that stem from talks at mid-month. Venus' turn direct at almost the same time, September 8, should also help. There are so many reasons to be optimistic about your future earning potential.
If by any chance you are not able to negotiate more money at mid-month, there is another point in the month you should look toward and that's the full moon September 26, plus or minus four days. At that time you will have a full moon in your house of honors, achievement, and fame, suggesting that you will either be given an important new position, or exceptional publicity for work well done. I feel this will translate into more money for you, too.
If you are a self-employed Cancer, you too will feel all these wonderful influences by getting more prestigious business that will increase your income.
At the very end of the month, on September 28, Mars will enter Cancer for the first time in two years. From then until May 9, 2008, a continuous period of over six months, you will enjoy extraordinary prominence, filled with opportunity, high energy, and an overall feeling of support from others around you. New ventures will have a better-than-usual chance for success, and you'll more easily gain the attention of the VIPs who will be more willing to approve your ideas. You've paid your dues - now it's time to collect your rewards in many areas of your life.
Since Mars naturally rules your tenth house of fame, it suggests that whatever is happening on September 26 will carry you forward on a very new, pioneering professional path. It should be very exciting! Mars will also make you more attractive and sexy, so you'll need to get used to having more attention, on many levels, including romantic ones!
Cancer is known to put family first, but even you know that sometimes a little too much interaction with your relatives can be off-putting.
