This month will bring cause for celebration. Saturn, the planet that teaches us how to live with life's harsh realities by banishing wishful thinking, will finally change signs on September 2. Since July 2005, Saturn has been putting you through your paces on a certain joint financial matter. During all or part of the last two years, you may have had more than a few sleepless nights as you tried to fix a situation that was not necessarily of your making.
Happily, your stressful period is now over. While it may take some time to recover from the financial disarray that resulted, for the first time you can be assured there won't be any new surprises to come up to pull you off course and retard your recovery.
The part of your chart that has been under siege by Saturn was your eighth house of other people's money. For any number of reasons, you seem to have found yourself in a financial jam for at least part of the two-year period that Saturn was in that house since July 2005.
For one, someone on whom you depended may not have delivered the payments you expected. You may have extended credit to a good customer who went bankrupt, leaving you holding the bag. Or, your ex may not have sent regular child support checks. Or, it could have been that a family member became ill and insurance did not cover all the medical bills that resulted, leaving you in a precarious financial position. Financial aid is something many students depend on, but if the school lowered the amount you received, you felt the pinch.
If you were in the process of a divorce or division of a business, you probably didn't get a generous settlement. Your soon-to-be-ex partner was probably feeling tight-fisted, so your settlement was probably less than you anticipated - assuming you were able to collect anything that was promised.
There were other possibilities. You may have become the victim of an identity theft or other financial scam that took months to straighten out. Of course, it may simply be that you spent too much on your credit cards and lost track of what you were spending, but that possibility seems less likely because as a Capricorn you are one of the most financially savvy signs of the zodiac.
Now, Saturn, the taskmaster planet, leaves this sensitive part of your chart, not to return until 2034! While everyone, of every sign, will have something to cheer about this month, you are particularly sensitive to Saturn's actions because Saturn is your ruling planet. For you, this move of Saturn is reason for an all-out party.
Now that Saturn has left this touchy sector, you should soon see your financial status stabilize. The emotional stress that had been part and parcel of your life is now soon to be over. You now know that contingency plans are necessary in life, especially when you have certain financial dealings, and that in the end, the only person you can rely on is yourself.
Saturn always leaves a gift by the door when it leaves, so in the coming weeks, you will likely encounter breakthrough news that will show you that indeed, you are on your way.
Saturn will now move into your ninth house that rules travel and foreign people and foreign places as well as all pursuits for higher education. You may now decide to go back to school, and possibly during part of that time, study abroad. Or, if you are finished with your education, you may take a position soon that puts you in contact with many foreign people. You may cater to a global market, or find special opportunities in publishing or broadcasting.
All these areas will require very hard work, because that's how Saturn works, but the reward would be long-lasting and so beneficial it could change the course your life takes in the distant future.
In case you don't notice this new emphasis, the universe is about to send you an eclipse in the same part of the chart, due September 11. This one is a new moon solar eclipse, and it will open a door for you.
Legal and contractual talks seem to be on the agenda at that time. However, because Uranus will oppose the Sun near that date, you may find that last minute changes to the contract by the other side may make that agreement less appealing, and the lateness of these changes may make you mad. Still, with the Sun, new moon eclipse, and Saturn all in Virgo, and Uranus in Pisces, you have enough cosmic clout behind you, so don't give up too easily - just continue to calmly negotiate for what you feel should be rightfully yours.
Additionally, and tied to the solar eclipse of September 11, the Sun will be opposed to Uranus - and you may have an unexpected financial problem to handle in the second half of September. I know I said you were done with this type of thing, but this is completely out of the ordinary, and not being brought to you by Saturn. Relax - this is likely to be one of the last headaches you will be presented with, so deal with it quickly to get it off your desk. You have a good chance to see a fat check that may be due you now that Saturn is gone, but due to Uranus certain strings may still be attached. This could concern you, so keep negotiating to make the deal more acceptable.
If you were born on January 7, or within five days of that date, you will find a way to benefit from all that happens at the eclipse September 11. Indeed, the mathematical degrees of that eclipse will send kisses to your natal Sun.
Your career progress is about to pick up speed, too. Venus naturally rules your tenth house of fame and honors, but Venus has been retrograde since July 27. Career progress has been maddeningly slow. No more. Venus will awaken on September 8, and from that point on, you'll see impressive progress. You had spent several weeks looking back at what you accomplished and what still needs to be done or fixed. That phase is over, and it's full speed ahead.
Venus will move through the same financial house where Saturn has caused so many problems, and this month seems very bright for finances. Venus is associated in many people's mind with love, but it also has a link to finances - this is good news for you! Think of things this way: You now have an excellent, supportive planet (Venus) in the same house that held a very difficult planet (Saturn). Saturn was there for two years, but will not be back to that part of your chart for almost three decades. You will carry what you learned at least that long, if not forever.
Although Venus will only help you here in your financial eighth house until October 8, in that time you will get a flavor of what's to come - far better financial luck. When Venus leaves, life will normalize and be just like everyone else's, but not be as terribly difficult as it has been for you in the recent past. Sometimes when a malefic planet leaves, it feels like the huge weight has been lifted off your shoulders. You'll welcome that, I am sure!
Pluto will also turn direct at roughly the same time of the month as Venus, September 7. From now on, you will be very careful about your time, for you will want to put it where you can create the most good. Pluto's turn direct suggests that confidential talks will now be productive.
In December, Jupiter will enter Capricorn, and a few weeks later, in January, Pluto enters Capricorn, too. These are monumental shifts of heavy-duty planets, and both will have a remarkably uplifting effect on your life for a very long period. Jupiter will stay in Capricorn a year, and Pluto, fifteen years.
Moreover, Saturn, now in Virgo for two years, will be finally in the right position to do the most good for you. From now on, instead of torturing you, dear Capricorn, Saturn will see to it that you gain from his support! The ninth house, so lit up in future months, is all about seeing the big picture. You will need to refine goals and streamline your priorities and then build a plan to make your dreams a reality.
Your health and fitness could get a big boost now, due to the run of Mars in Gemini, now moving through your sixth house of preventative health. It would be a fine time to begin a new routine or sport for the coming season, as you would brim with energy and enthusiasm. Often the level of enthusiasm we have makes all the difference in the eventual success of an endeavor. This is also a terrific month to go for all sorts of medical and dental checkups.
Your home needs your attention at the full moon, September 26, operative plus or minus four days from that date. You may move or receive a wonderful new piece of furniture. You may get a new roommate, or see one move out. All sorts of home-related concerns will come up, but can be also finished at this full moon. A family member, most likely a parent, may need your wise advice or support at this time, too.
Romantically, the move of Venus out of weak retrograde position on September 8 will help you get your social life back on track. You and your significant other seem to have been focused on an old topic that never seems to get resolved. Everyone has a "flypaper" topic that keeps coming back. This time you had the right cosmic support to find an answer over the past two months, so maybe now you can finally say you found the right approach and you won't have to revisit it again.
If you are attached, events of late August may change your relationship when unspoken thoughts and feelings come to light. You will now have to deal with those revelations, but again, it appears you can as long as you are committed to each other.
Mars will be in your partnership sector from September 28 to May 9, 2008, so it's clear your partner will have the dominant responsibility for moving your relationship forward in months to come.

A lot of information will surface just after the eclipse, September 11, and when it does, it could radically change your view of the deal. You'll also have a residential or family situation that will reach critical mass on the full moon, September 26. All full moons have an area of influence of a plus or minus four days, so you could easily move into a new space at month's end. Alternatively, you may buy or sell property, acquire new furniture, or change your space in some appreciable way.
