September 2007 - Gemini PDF Print E-mail
This will be a strong month, one that will allow you to make a few major decisions that will let you move forward on several fronts. You won't always have such a strong environment to move forward, so while you do, get cracking!
You've got the special favor from Mars in Gemini until September 28, and that is no small advantage. If you have any undertaking that requires a high level of enthusiasm or a very strenuous output of energy to lift off a project properly, spin it into being now. With Mars in Gemini, you will give your project or new relationship your all, and you won't give up until you have things precisely "just so." That's always a signature of success, and indeed, your chart shows you've never had better prospects for substantial growth on all endeavors that you start now. You don't have to finish your plan, just begin it. In astrology it really matters when the first seed is planted.
Once Mars leaves Gemini on September 28, you'll have to wait until July 2009 to have this same advantage. While you're the darling of the universe, voice your dreams to anyone who will listen to you! You are now beginning a two-year cycle, so all that you put in motion now will be with you at least that long. You won't lack energy, that's for sure! Get busy, dear Gemini!
There is another reason to work quickly in September. By October 13, Mercury will retrograde, but you will feel the slowdown as soon as the month opens. Mercury will remain in sleepy, out of phase condition until November 1, so use next month to review your plans and tweak them, but don't launch anything quite yet. As you see, you need to work with a sense of purpose and urgency in September, because in October it would be best to hold back.
Mars will move into Cancer on September 28 and remain in that sign until May 9, 2008. This is a very long time to host Mars in one sign. Mars will retrograde from November 15 to January 30, which explains why Mars will stay so long in one sign. Launches and beginnings won't be favored during a Mars retrograde, so you see how important it is to keep moving things forward this month. Make sure, however, that your details are perfect and complete now, for when Mercury and Mars retrograde you could be spending a lot of time fixing flaws.
While Mars is in Cancer, you will go into a high spending period, one that will last through mid-May. You may already know this to be true, or, you may be surprised later when expenses start to rise. This phase will make you very creative about finding new sources of income, however, so it appears things will balance out. Until you get used to writing so many checks, however, try not to spend too much.
October will be a bad month to spend large amounts of cash anyway because Mercury in retrograde will increase your chances of having difficulty with your purchases. Get what you need now, and then lock up your wallet and checkbook throughout October.
November and December will be wonderful for holiday shopping, because by then, Mercury will have regulated its orbit to direct speed. The gifts you get for friends and family will be gifts they love. This is the first season in years that Mercury has not been out of phase at holiday time, so you should find the whole process of shopping easier!
In terms of your career, as I mentioned at the start of this report, you had a lunar eclipse in Pisces on August 28, so you may have seen at least one important development. You may have celebrated a huge career victory or suffered a sudden setback. Although those possibilities are very opposite, eclipses bring a pending situation to fullness. As you see, a lot depended on how things had been going in your career for a long time. That full moon eclipse at the end of August was to bring things to a head - now you know where you stand, and what's working and what is not. You can plan accordingly with much better results.
Late last month you may have also decided to leave a long-standing contractual association. If so, it looks likely that you have another partner in mind. Good! Sometimes leaving is necessary - eclipses tend to make all this clear.
The other possibility was that a top executive in your company or a major client announced a departure. If so, you may FEEL like you changed jobs, even if you didn't. Don't let anything unnerve you - these things happen. No matter what is going on, your career is about to zoom upward soon again, so I doubt anyone can stop you now if they tried.
Be very careful not to lock horns with an authority figure on September 3 or 9, or in the days near these dates, for at that time a VIP on the job may push all your buttons. Otherwise, the rest of the month is very positive.
In addition to the eclipse last month, you also have Saturn now in your house of home and family for the first time since 1977-1980. You may be too young to remember that period, or those years may have come before your time. If you CAN remember those years, it may have marked a time when you leased your first apartment, bought your first house, or had your first child and needed to move to a larger space. Saturn brings lots of "firsts."
Hosting Saturn in the fourth house, as you are now, can make things feel a little tight. That may just be Saturn coaxing you to find something better suited to your growing needs. You may not have to move - instead, you may decide to renovate to take better use of the space, or ask a roommate to move out.
If you are very young, you may now move out of your parent's house to have your own apartment. If you are more mature and already have a perfect living situation, you may aim to get a country house to escape to on weekends.
Saturn often points to the need for investment, so you may decide to put serious money into your space in the coming two years. If you do, you will be thinking very long term, choosing solid furniture, quality fabrics, and other materials that will stand the test of time. If so, this would be the right approach. Saturn also often creates a situation that forces you to take on more responsibility than you think you can handle - until you do!
You might assume you can't qualify to buy an apartment or house, but conditions may make a purchase wise. Lo and behold, you will find you really CAN be approved for a mortgage, and afterwards feel very proud of yourself. It's alternatively possible that you will volunteer to care for an elderly parent or other family member who needs help. If you do, you'll soon find you need to learn lots of things you never imagined you'd need to know. You're a quick study, and you can and will!
Saturn wants you to grow and learn new things, and we learn best taking on new responsibilities. If you are already an old hand at buying and selling property, then something else will come up that will allow you to learn something new. You may undertake a massive fix up plan, whether it's to expand your present house, improve your kitchen or bathroom, or renovate to resell the property to make a profit. Saturn's presence suggests things will take time - and perhaps more money than you estimated - but Saturn's presence also suggests that the results will be lasting.
Even having said what I have, you have to keep everything in perspective. Stay realistic and be careful not to bite off more than you can chew. The down side of Saturn transit can translate into "burden." Be careful that you not pay more than you can afford on your monthly rent or mortgage payment. If you do, you will feel the strain for two years. Don't opt for a sliding mortgage rate either - a fixed rate is far safer for you, considering your chart. If the mortgage rate does change, it would change in a way that won't please you.
When I had your aspects, I did buy an apartment, but the bank made a mathematical mistake - and had to add a thousand dollars a month on to my mortgage for two years! That was much, much more than I ever anticipated spending and it was added on immediately. The bank would not refinance my mortgage either. I would have put less down on my down payment, had I known of the error. Of course, no one knew.
As you see, even if you are careful, you could still find it hard to pay your monthly fees. In another instance, you may later find that the house you buy needs an extensive repair. That's why having a thorough engineering assessment of the structure is important, but of course, sometimes things are missed. My situation worked out - I severely cut back on other expenses, but I kept my apartment, and that's what counts! The month Saturn left my fourth house the cost went down, wouldn't you know it?
Be as conservative as you can be, and have a little slush fund for emergencies. Have a solid homeowner or renter's insurance policy too in case of flood, fire, or other contingency. You will probably never need it, but having it may help you sleep more soundly at night.
Saturn often requires sacrifice. During the first part of this two-year cycle - Saturn won't leave until September 2009 - you may decide to save up for a down payment on your new property or renovation. To do this, you may have to forgo vacations, new clothes, or other expenditures so that you can build up your savings quickly. Alternatively, the sacrifice you make might be to contribute time or money to the care of your beloved relative. There are many ways this may play out. Keep in mind that Saturn never forces you to do anything - you get to choose, but chances are you'll accept the challenge because the outcome will be so worthwhile.
At the new moon solar eclipse on September 11, all these home-related plans may crystallize. This new moon solar eclipse falls in your house of home. It is the only new moon you will get in 2007 that will be home, property, and family related, so if you want to initiate a plan, do so in the week of September 11. You can create a greater feeling of comfort or security for yourself if you act then, and you should also find terrific options, too. So go ahead - move, lease, buy or sell, or acquire a beautiful new piece of furniture.
You can use this energy on a small scale if you prefer, by say, reorganizing closets or painting a room or two. It is also a good time to see that a family member (most likely a parent) would be well taken care of, especially if this person is ill or frail.
One of the best parts of your chart will stem from your very supportive partner. This person may be your steady sweetheart, spouse, or a business partner, such as an agent, manager, broker, representative, or work collaborator. This person is a real gem to you now, so encourage him or her to contribute ideas. Be very open to all this person has to say - he or she comes bearing gifts, and will point you to where your true luck lies.
Pluto has been retrograde but will turn direct on September 7. Watch the days surrounding this date for your personal or business partner to show you in an obvious way just how loyal, devoted, and beneficial he or she can be for you!
If you do have a detractor, you'll be ready for a confrontation on September 21. You'll feel ready to clear the air, for Mars will oppose Pluto on that day. Even if friends tell you that you shouldn't attack this person because he or she is so powerful and stubborn it would be akin to you fighting City Hall, you'll probably ignore them and do so anyway. At some point, enough is enough. Stand up for your rights, dear Gemini.
Romantically, you will find things much livelier once Venus goes direct on September 8. Venus has been a bit sleepy since the end of July, but now Venus will perk up and start helping you. One of the first ways you may use Venus' stronger vibrations is to take a little trip not too far from home. You'll return feeling refreshed, and you may even meet someone special while away.
A few days later, on September 13, Venus will send Jupiter a golden beam, giving you one enchanting evening to celebrate. In all, it's a month of enormous change, but at the end, you'll emerge like a butterfly out of a cocoon, stronger, strikingly attractive, and completely transformed.
By the time you get to the end of the month, the universe will give you a treat. The full moon September 26, plus or minus four days, will brighten your house of friends, people, events, and fun. It's clear you'll be near many people at this time, so if you get invited to a party, club event, charity fundraiser, or even a professional industry event, you must go! Anything that would draw people together would be energizing and a real diversion!
If you were born on or near May 23 plus four days, you will benefit most from this full moon.
Romance will be best: September: 8, 13, 18, 22, 26, and 27.
Summary:
As September begins, the sudden event that happened regarding your career in late August will continue to still stir your emotions. It might be extraordinary good news, or a setback, but either way, your emotions are all stirred up.
There won't be any room to relax, for as soon as you get a grip on that professional situation, news on the home front - possibly involving your roommate, mother, or other close family member, or maybe your residence or other property matter - will likely vie for your attention. Watch for this to happen in the days or weeks that follow the solar eclipse, September 11.
Your financial situation is apparently in flux these days, and that reality could be causing you concern. At the same time, your relationship with one sibling seems to have become increasingly explosive and difficult. With so much to manage, your will have to pace yourself. Make an effort to find an occasional oasis of calm. Thankfully, you will be able to rely on extraordinary sustained support from a partner, whether that person is someone you are aligned with in a romantic way (like a sweetheart or spouse) or business (like an agent or manager).
With Mars in Gemini throughout September, you will have more control than you think you do. Should anything negative happen, there's no need to feel victimized. Should you feel that way at any point of the month (and not saying you would), look closer and you'll see you're starting a whole new cycle, one that will be infinitely more satisfying than the one you came through recently. Mars will increase your magnetism and presence on so many levels. You really are lucky to have this major planet behind you now.
It's clear that you are ready for more family or property-related responsibility, and by taking it on you'll become a more rounded, caring person. Your emerging maturity will be attractive, and others may come to you for advice - something that may be as bewildering to you as it will be flattering.
In a month that will seem to demand a great deal from you, you'll welcome a lively social event due at month's end.
Put a gold star on the date of the full moon, September 26, plus or minus three days. You may be concerned about the cost of participating in this gathering, but it looks like you'll have the will to overcome that obstacle and enjoy yourself to the fullest.
There is another reason to expect your romantic life to show renewed signs of life (true whether you're married or single). While the date of the full moon, September 26 (plus or minus four days), will be your best day to socialize, there will also be other days to enjoy. September 8, 13, 18, and 22 should be excellent, too.
Venus, the love planet, has been lethargic for months but will switch to a strong and speedy orbit on September 8. From then on, watch for signs that indeed you have put your love life on the right track. October will be even better for romance, so dear Gemini, you'll be on a roll!
