December 2007 - Leo PDF Print E-mail

This month is simply bursting with romantic potential! With FIVE super-friendly power planets filling your house of true love in the first half of December, you are about to embark on an enchanting phase, much like the Owl and the Pussycat who alighted their own pea-green boat of love. Jupiter, the planet of happiness and expansion, will see to it that you have a sensational phase to remember this month.

Watch for developments to blossom just after the new moon on December 9. Romance won't be subtle or quiet, but rather all encompassing - big, bold, grand, and loving. If you've been single a long time, by all means attend every party you can, even two or three in an evening. It is THAT important that you be out and about!

It's rare to have five planets in any one house, and to have them all squeezed in your house of true love and in divinely compatible fire sign Sagittarius - well, that is really fortunate. Single or married, the first half of December will be truly made for you.

If you're attached and have hoped to have a baby, this month, more than any other, could bring you the welcome sound of the stork's wings flapping your way. If you've had problems with conception, see a specialist, but do not give up hope. The star pattern of the month is made for miracles.

If you already have children, one will bring you news that will make you proud. It is a month to make you realize that all the love and care you gave your child has led to this sterling development.

If your birthday falls on August 9 or within five days of this date, you will benefit the most from all that is going on in your love life and in creativity this month.

On top of all this, among the five planets gathering will be two to watch. On December 11, Jupiter (lucks and gifts) and Pluto (transformations) will meet for the first time since 1994 in a major, much-anticipated conjunction. Astrologers feel that the conjunction is the most powerful of all aspects, for conjunctions set up a new cycle that you can enjoy for the whole lifetime of that cycle, in this case 13 years. At the end of that period, you can refresh that cycle. This means if you meet someone now, this person could have a profound effect on your life over time.

Since both Jupiter and Pluto often have financial ramifications, and since the fifth house rules not only love and children but also all creative efforts, you may be embarking on a creative process of truly mammoth proportions. Take all the projects that you commit to this month very seriously, dear Leo. If you get the green light to begin a project that has required hours of presentations, negotiations, contracts, and other talks, the fact that it is coming to a head now suggests that this project holds rare promise. Give it all you've got to give, for it may become the mainstay of your life for many years to come.

As said, the house of love and creativity are linked in a chart, but sometimes the way things work out is that you may feel lots of creativity but little romance, or the other way around. This may be because you are unconsciously directing this energy into one area or the other, and this is how the universe will decide to reward you. However, it IS possible to have both.

You can do this by working productively on your creative projects, but be sure to save time to socialize. Accept invitations, look your best, and if single, be open to different types, especially in the period December 1-17. You may be thrilled to discover a new person now who is right for you that you never would have noticed before. If you do meet someone new, you'll click beautifully, with truly sparkling chemistry between you.

On December 18, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will move out of your fifth house of love and into your sixth house of health and day-to-day work projects. From that point on, and continuing for one full year, Jupiter will help you become strong and very healthy and will also encourage your work life in a powerful, expansive way.

First, let's look at health. I have found that having Jupiter in your sixth house to be excellent for losing weight and improving one's overall fitness. In this house, Jupiter works in marvelous ways and will see to it that you get results. Jupiter will help you afford a gym membership, new sneakers, and workout gear, even if you have no idea how you will pay for all these things. (They don't call Jupiter the planet of hope, luck, and miracles for nothing.)

If doctors have not been able to diagnose your case, see another specialist or two after December 18 or at any time in 2008. January will be an especially lucky month for medical and dental-related matters. Keep your eye on the new moon January 8 and days that follow.

In terms of work, Jupiter will improve your working conditions, help you get shiny new equipment and software, and bring in many more assignments. If you are self-employed, your phone should ring with lots of new clients or customers, now in December and also in the year to come. After all, Jupiter will remain in this house until January 5, 2009!

On top of all this, Jupiter will be making several key meetings with other planets the moment he arrives in Capricorn.

On December 20, Jupiter will have his annual conversation (conjunction) with Mercury on your behalf. This will be a wow of a day, for Mercury is the planet of communication, contracts, and agreements. All sorts of talks would go well on this day, so say, if you are a labor negotiator trying to settle a strike, this would be a day when both sides would be open to finding solutions by making a few compromises. If you have a contract to sign, do so on December 20.

Mercury also rules writing, editing, research, speaking and lecturing, traveling, and transportation, as well as any hobby, interest, or work that rules the hands (like knitting, sewing, typing, carpentry, or playing the piano). Decide how you can use this rare and wonderful aspect to suit your own needs. These two heavenly bodies will meet in your house of work projects, so you may get a delicious assignment to write or create, and be paid well for it, too. Jupiter will see to that!

Right on the heels of this aspect comes another even bigger one: Jupiter conjunct the Sun, the annual event I call the luckiest day of the year. This will happen on December 23, but since these two join in the wee hours of the morning, you will feel the effects earlier, December 22, or even a couple of days earlier than that.

Everyone has a ruling planet or star, and the Sun happens to be yours, dear Leo. That's why you will benefit MOST of any sign from this gorgeous meeting of the Sun and good luck planet Jupiter on December 23. You can use this day for more than for health and work developments - it's your ruler, so you can use it in many more ways. It should be a VERY happy day, with a touch of luxury about it, too.

Actually, December 23 is notable for another reason - it is the full moon in your behind-the-scenes sector. You may have a confidential meeting on or near this day that turns out to be quite productive and exciting. Since all full moons have an area of influence of plus or minus four days from the date the full moon appears, you may have this meeting at any time this week with better-than-expected results.

Plan a quiet holiday, dear Leo. This year you seem to crave a more muted, spiritual time with the ones you love, rather than one filled with boisterous laughter and many people. Considering how exciting things are in your emotional life earlier in the month, you won't need added stimulation. You may want to keep your special person to yourself and only your closest friends this year. Sounds good!

The full moon's position will find you in need of more rest. You have a very busy December coming up, so if you feel a cold coming on near the full moon December 23, you will need to whittle down your schedule. You will want to be in strong shape for New Year's Eve.

If you celebrate Christmas, this year's for you - the moon will be in luxury-loving Leo, so this year you may find an array of beautiful gifts that are precisely what you would have chosen for yourself. The atmosphere in your home and at the dinner table will be simply beautiful - with you or your family going the extra mile to make it special and luxurious.

Now that Saturn is no longer in Leo (as was the case over the past two years) you can finally look forward to easier times with a lot less stress. In the past, Saturn weighed you down with many responsibilities but soon (if not already) the pressure will start to come off, and you'll enjoy the difference.

On New Year's Eve, the moon will glide through your travel sector in compatible sign Libra. Let your partner choose what you both will do that evening - you can't lose. In a month just made for love, you'll feel very much adored and loved. A month this special comes but once in a lifetime. Drink all this in, dear Leo.

Romantic evenings: December 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 18, 21, 22, and 30 - 31.

Summary

What a fantastic month! The aspects of December are exceedingly rare. It's almost as if the universe gathered up the most beautiful, jewel-like aspects, hid them away in a great big bag, and shook out that bag of goodies all at once in December.

You will find the month has two very distinct parts. The first part will be all about parties, fun, romance, and creativity. I say this because you will have five heavenly bodies in elements of fire (like yours) all conversing in your fifth house of romance. Single or married, the period after December 9 to 20 should be remarkable. Couples who hope for a baby could be rewarded this month. If you've been disappointed by problems with conception, see a specialist early in December, immediately.

At work, if you are paid to be creative, you will prove to be a virtual idea factory. Clients and customers will love the ideas you serve up this month - with each success you'll outdo the one before. It's the kind of month where you may find yourself working around the clock on the creative project, perhaps because you will launch your endeavor soon. If so, it will be such a labor of love that you will lose track of time as you dive into your project.

The meeting of Jupiter and Pluto on December 11 bodes well for the future of any creative project you agree to now or that you launch now. This is an aspect that is always associated with success. Bill Gates was born with this conjunction and so was Warren Buffet. Take this period seriously! I can't underscore this enough - it's an aspect astrologers have been long watching and anticipating for years!

On December 18, Jupiter will leave your love and romance sector (fifth house) and journey into your health and work sector (sixth house). Jupiter in the sixth house is the very best place to lose weight, get fit, and look fantastic, and you've got a whole year of Jupiter's help ahead.

Your work atmosphere - where you actually do your job - should improve in a big way in 2008. You may be able to hire more help, or be given better computer equipment and software. You may get a bigger office, or your company may move to bigger, brighter headquarters this year. If you are self-employed or like to take on extra freelance projects now and then, you will hear the sound of your telephone ring and the cash register go ka-ching.

One of your favorite days of the month could be on December 23, when Jupiter conjoins the Sun in Capricorn. You are ruled by the Sun, so this should be a banner day for you on so many levels! This conjunction will happen in your sixth house, so you may get some very good work-related or health-related news, just as you settle in for the holiday! Truly, this aspect should affect you in big, broad ways, even beyond health and work. It's lucky for you!

Keep an eye on your energy level that may flag a little on December 23 and the days surrounding. That day, besides being the luckiest day of the year, due to the meeting of Jupiter and the Sun, it will also be the full moon in your twelfth house, often a time of feeling subdued. If you've been racing around on your skateboard all month, you may want to conserve a little energy now so that you have the energy to go to even more parties as you get to New Years.

Christmas Day brings the moon to Leo, making this day fantastic!

For New Year's Eve, you may decide to visit friends or your sister, brother, or cousin in a nearby town. The moon will be in Libra, a beautifully social and compatible sign for you. Rest up and get ready! You have a much-improved year ahead now that old man Saturn is out of Leo, so it's time to party, dear Leo!
