January 2009 Gemini Monthly Horoscope – Gemini Horoscope Archive – Career – Love – Finance - Prediction Your life is changing quite dramatically for the better, dear Gemini. Jupiter, planet of happiness, expansion, and good fortune, will now move into Aquarius for the first time since 1997 on January 5. Jupiter will stay in this sign for a year, until January 18, 2010. Now that Jupiter will be in fellow air sign Aquarius, you will have more support from Jupiter than you've had in a very long time. The difference will soon become deliciously obvious as you go through your New Year - everything will be so much easier for you to achieve because the environment around you will be so much more supportive. You've labored through the trenches, but finally you'll get help from VIPs and influential friends and you'll be able to achieve your aims. In short, you are about to enter a much sweeter, softer phase. Your health will improve and you'll be able to travel more than you have in years past - possibly overseas (a great idea). If single, you'll even find it a bit easier to navigate the dating scene. If all this sounds too good to be true, keep in mind that Jupiter rules not only good fortune, but miracles, too. Never stop believing! While a housing, property, or family issue may still press on you, other parts of life will improve so much that you'll find any challenges you have at home easier to face. In fact, with a happier outlook, you'll more readily come up with original solutions. Others around you will be more helpful, too - rather than be a drain, they will offer you ideas, contacts, and opportunities. Now these are changes you'll love! The main areas that Jupiter will focus on will be the very areas that as a Gemini you are drawn to and excel in: the communication arts. Look into writing, journalism, public speaking and lecturing, editing, proofreading, research, and teaching as areas for expansion, as well as the related fields of advertising, marketing, public relations, and sales. All will glow for you. Gemini is also associated with travel and tourism, so that industry could be good for you as well. Aquarius is the sign that rules the digital age, so your luck will center on newly invented, high tech forms of communication. Not only will publishing and broadcasting be lucky for you, but so will telecommunications, software development, and code writing, as well as the humanities, social work, and charities. You may work in one of these areas as your main source of income, or you may volunteer in your spare time for a political campaign or to help on a "green" project. The possibilities are broad and all quite exciting. Indeed, you seem to be cast in the role of pathfinder this year and you'll find it all very fresh and interesting. You may get a lucrative book deal, a regular column or blog on a popular Internet site or prestigious magazine, or an offer to host your very own TV or radio show. You may self-publish, write an e-book, or get involved with on-demand TV programming. If you are already involved with this type of work, you will see your role expand and your future will grow brighter. Deals that arrive from a person based in a foreign country would be fortunate for you, and could easily yield a terrific new source of income. You will likely travel far and wide this year too, for Jupiter will encourage you to learn about other cultures and even see more cities in your very own country. Travel is only one manifestation of a larger goal that the universe has for you: to enlarge your perspective. By the time this year is done, you will look back and say that you used to think in terms that were too narrow, and that now you have started to see the world in bigger terms and vivid colors. If you can't travel because of home and family obligations, then foreign people will come to you with offers. Your work may now be translated into other languages, or you may set up an import-export deal. Your skills for lecturing and in public speaking will be prized, so you may be a frequent guest on TV. Your ability to think on your feet and be persuasive will help you in many ways. The ninth house, where Jupiter will be based, also rules university study and degrees, another possible area of gain for you. You may get into a top college for an advanced degree, ace a major qualifying exam, or get a gig as an associate professor. No matter what you do once you're there, you'll enjoy the school and the other students and generally feel at home. Jupiter has a financial connotation too, so if you need financial help to pay for your education, I urge you to look into scholarships and other programs. Even though the market is down and the news has been dismal, you can be the exception to the rule and walk out with a generous scholarship or financial aid program. When it comes to education, your luck will be sterling, so look for it! If you go away to school, you may opt to study overseas and find doing so very broadening. If you are self-employed, by all means plan an ad campaign and/or a publicity program. February would be an outstanding month to put yourself "out there," so keep that in mind. Jupiter is now at the very top of your chart, in a part of the chart so special that the ancients called it the "mid-heaven." This is a place of leadership and big thinking and in many ways is a place of reward for the skills you have honed over the years. The ninth house always requires a bit of preparation - when we go on a trip, we need a passport, some foreign money, reservations in hotels, the proper maps, and so forth. When we go to college, we need to get past entrance exams and the college interview, and we usually have to visit a number of campuses to make our choice. When we get published, we must first present our ideas clearly in a proposal and show why others would be interested in what we have to say. You seem focused and ready to make those preparations and to powerfully persuade others to allow you through the gate. That's why you will be granted access! The courts will also be helpful. If you have to bring suit against a person or company, 2009 will be a year when the courts will be more inclined to smile on you. No guarantees, but this would more likely be the year that you'd find the verdict fair and that justice was served. If you have to file a patent or trademark, this too would be the time to do so. To be sure you see this huge trend as it begins to shape up, the universe will send you a very positive, friendly eclipse, also in Aquarius, on January 26. This eclipse will open a door very wide in this very same area that we've been discussing: communication, travel, commerce, pursuits for higher education, the courts, and so forth. This solar eclipse will fall very close to Jupiter, and also on that day, Mercury, your ruler, will conjoin Venus, a planet not only associated with pleasure, but also with money. One way or another, you seem to benefit financially from all that will be going on in this realm. If you were born on May 26 or within five days of this date, you will feel the affects of the coming solar eclipse on January 26 the most. Next month, on February 9, there will be a second, full moon lunar eclipse in Leo, emphasizing many of the same areas of the chart. If you were born on June 1, you will feel that eclipse the most. On top of all these areas of gain, you may also benefit very soon from the kindness of an aunt or uncle, in-law, or other relative. You may receive a cash gift, or the benefit may be more spiritual, with special advice or an introduction that proves invaluable. You will likely find that the biggest moments of January will fall on or near the date of that solar eclipse, January 26 (plus or minus one week). However, sometimes an eclipse does not deliver its message immediately but rather one month to the day later, plus or minus four days. For that reason, you need to watch the days surrounding February 26, too. I would like you to watch two other key dates as well, and these will glitter brightly, too. Circle the date of January 18, when Mercury, your ruler, will conjoin Jupiter. This should be an outstanding day that will be repeated next month on February 24. Again, all the areas being lit by Jupiter, listed previously, will bring you luck, but on this date, also add special help with home / property / family as likely to bring good news. If you need to save your house, for example, meet with your banker in the days leading up to this date. If you need a new piece of furniture, browse listings. If you want to add a roommate, interview candidates on this day. If you were born within days of May 23, you will find January 18 an excellent day. If you were born closer to June 1, then the second date of February 24, when Mercury and Jupiter will meet again, will be more special. Of course, you may have other planets that could bring you good fortune as a result of these two lovely dates. Circle both on your calendar! While you are holding your pencil and writing down special dates, here is another five-star day for you to note. On January 24, Jupiter will conjoin the Sun, a day I call "the luckiest day of the year." On this day, you could hear news so spectacular that you jump for joy. All the areas I listed in regard to communication, travel, education, and the courts are where you will see your benefits. Mercury will retrograde from January 11 to February 1, so you will have to proceed slowly all month. It won't be easy to do so, not with so many goodies on tap! It is not wise to sign contracts or to agree to new ventures during these phases. When you hear the words "Mercury retrograde," it should instantly telegraph to you the notion that changed conditions are due to happen up ahead. If you were driving, you would see a crew set up a yellow blinking light to warn you to drive more slowly and cautiously. Don't commit to anything during this coming Mercury retrograde phase. You will not lose out on any opportunities - in fact, February should bring you even better offers. Keep some space around Mercury retrograde dates too, on the front and back ends. So many people sign contracts on the day before Mercury retrogrades or on the day after Mercury turns direct, but actually that's the worst time to do so. Mercury acts wild on those "bookend" dates, so you'll want to avoid them. The month will also have a huge financial emphasis. A crowd of planets in Capricorn will brighten your eighth house of "other people's money" in the first week of January; you may get news of a very large one-time payment due you. It may be news from the courts about money awarded to you or an insurance company payment being approved for you. It may come as news of a scholarship, loan, or mortgage that was approved, or of a large inheritance or prize winning that has your name on it. You may want to buy a lotto ticket, but don't go crazy. Spend $10 on a charity raffle ticket if you like, or buy a scratch-off lotto ticket. Buy it in January's first five days, while you will still have Jupiter in your eighth house of money. Make sure the "winner" is announced by then. The closer you act to January 1, the better, as the new moon that appeared on December 27 late last month will still be in a strong position to help you. You will see a culmination of a financial situation on or within three days of the full moon on January 10. That full moon will light your house of earned income and possessions, so you may buy an expensive item or you may pay a large holiday bill. Even so, you may also receive unexpected cash because Uranus, planet of surprise, will be well angled to that full moon. Expect the best! In terms of career, praise and a possible breakthrough may occur on January 8 and 9 when the Sun and Uranus will be interacting so beautifully. On January 8, the stronger of the two days, the moon will be in Gemini, a perfect day to have a meeting with a client or to make a presentation to a client you'd like to add to your roster. Venus will enter your tenth house of professional reputation from January 3 onward, and Venus will see that the buzz about you will be quite upbeat. Romantically, if you are attached, you will have a bit of an edge this month. Watch the weekend of January 24-25 as your best, with things starting to heat up nicely on Friday, January 23. Why not plan a weekend away for two? As a runner-up weekend, choose the one that falls a week earlier, January 17-18, for it will prove to be very special as well. Travel increases love and fun, so see if you can take a little trip together. If you are single, this year you are likely to meet someone, or commit to a partner, who has a very different background from you. Or, you may meet your new sweetheart while traveling, or later decide to live in a foreign country for a while. The whole theme of foreign people and places will be quite strong for you and will grow stronger as you go along. See how this works for you! Summary: This will be a very exciting month because at long last, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will be in the perfect position to help you get ahead in several areas of your life. You've not had strong help like this in such a long time, so you'll be pleasantly surprised at how bright life suddenly seems. Gemini born at the end of May will feel this trend first, but because Jupiter will move so swiftly during the first half of 2009, every Gemini will see benefits between now and June. The emphasis on distant places is so strong that you may travel quite a bit, or you may find that foreign markets and opportunities abroad are too juicy to pass up. You may see your book translated into another language, or you may be asked to be a contributing editor to a foreign publication or website. Aquarius rules all newly invented forms and usually points to electronic and digital forms. That's a lucky area, so consider that in your planning. If you have been hoping to go back to college, not only are you likely to get into the institution of your choice, but you are also likely to thoroughly enjoy your college experience once you are there. This is not always the case in life, so thank your lucky stars! Even romance will benefit from this trend. If you hope to jumpstart a lackluster relationship, a trip taken together should bring you closer and help you reactivate the excitement you may have felt was missing. As the planet of miracles, Jupiter makes all sorts of things possible that we assume are impossible. If money is a concern, have a look at the Internet to find the perfect package for a trip or as a means of financing a dream related to the areas I have outlined. One method should show up after the powerful eclipse of January 26, if not sooner. Your luckiest day of the year falls on January 23, so you may hear news about travel, an admission to college, or an exam you did well on. You may get a lucrative speaking engagement, give an interview to the press, or hear other good news. This day should shine brilliantly for you! Another day to put a gold star on should be January 18 when your guardian planet, Mercury, will meet with good fortune Jupiter. Things should most positively go your way then, even in regard to love and romance. Your ability to communicate clearly will be a big plus. Travel will also go well. Add a plus or minus of two days to January 18. Keep in mind that Mercury will be retrograde from January 11 to February 1, but you will feel the effects of "Mercury gone wild" for a longer period than that. Be cautious and don't commit to anything important until next month, after February 4 or even later. Sometimes we fear losing an opportunity if we wait, but your chart is very clear - if you lose anything, it won't be worth nearly as much as the new opportunity that will come up in February. If you are perfect for this opportunity, it will remain there for you, and your role in it will only become clearer and more defined by next month. (You can act as soon as January's first few days, but it's pushing things. I prefer you wait.) Although you may be aching to buy something with the Christmas or Hanukkah money you received last month, hold off until next month. It's never wise to spend a lot of money when Mercury is out of phase, and you should never buy an electronic item at this time. Whatever you buy will not bring the pleasure you are anticipating, so be smart and hold off. A newer model may show up, or the present price may be greatly reduced. Whatever the reason, you'll be glad you waited. Speaking of spending money, it appears you may come into a windfall at the start of the month, in the first week of January. Then, later, the full moon emphasizes money as well, so you may have to pay off a large financial obligation, such as for college tuition, as just one of an endless list of possibilities. With Venus in your house of career reputation from January 3 for the rest of the month, your stock should be rising in your company or on the job market. Whatever happens on January 8 or 9 should thrill you - see what comes up! Dear Gemini, 2009 has all the makings of a banner year, with January and February the two months that will very clearly bring some of your most exciting news. Be ready! Most romantic dates: January 3, 4, 8, 11-12, 16, 24-26, and 30-31. Dates to note: The luckiest day of the year: January 23-24, and the solar eclipse, January 25-26, will be very big days for you. Watch them carefully. All areas of communication glow, as well as matters related to travel, work with people in foreign countries, or involving publishing and broadcasting. New digital forms beckon and offer unusual opportunity. Money should find a path to your door: January 1-5. Excellent news in your career: January 8 and 9. Expect a culmination of a financial situation on the full moon, January 10, plus or minus four days. You may write a check, receive one, or both. Most romantic dates: January 3, 4, 8, 11-12, 16, 24-26, and 30-31. |

If you've wondered when your ship would come in, the answer is in late January or February, or very soon thereafter, dear Taurus. I am referring to your career, for the goodies that Jupiter is about to bring you are to be quite substantial! Over the past decade, Jupiter, planet of good fortune, has slowly journeyed through various parts of your horoscope, spending a year in each sector. Each sector of your horoscope (or "house") rules a different part of your life, and now the part of your chart ruling leadership and reward for work well done is about to be brilliantly lit. On January 5, Jupiter will climb to the pinnacle point or your horoscope, which is your tenth house of honors and career achievement. Once there, Jupiter will help you see reward for the hard work you've done for your career over the past decade, reaching back as far as 1997. The harder and smarter you worked, the greater the rewards will be in 2009. Jupiter only rarely comes by this house. Your next visit after this one won't happen again until late 2020 through 2021. Make 2009 count for you. In the coming year, you won't lack attention or special favor from VIPs. It will be critical to know precisely what you would like to achieve by year's end, for when a bigwig asks you, "How can I help you?" you will need a ready answer. The person who will be asking will be genuinely interested in helping you get ahead. As a practical Taurus, you know that this kind of extraordinary favor doesn't come along frequently. Blink and the opportunity will flutter away. Be decisive and be ready! It will also be important that you set priorities. Jupiter is known to expand everything he touches, including your options, so this year, you may be tempted to spread yourself too thin by running in too many directions. You might be offered a whole candy store of options, so when this happens chose carefully. Admittedly, it will be hard not to just grab everything in sight, for you don't know when the cornucopia will open again for you. Follow your intuition, but do be choosy. Pick the ones that you feel offer the greatest long term potential for you and you'll be right on track. What makes January so extraordinary is that one planetary alignment will build on another in rapid succession to create something quite big and special. Truly, the best months of all of 2009 will occur now, in January and February, for these months will set the tone of the coming decade. Your choices now will be THAT important! All year you will find yourself standing at the right place at the right time, with all the right credentials to capture your dream position or role. If you are self-employed, you can now sign new clients that have the power to take you into much more important realms - you too may feel forever changed by what happens in your career in 2009. Publicity should come to you and the buzz about you quite wonderful. Your first indication that extraordinary professional luck is on the way will occur on what I call "the luckiest day of the year" when the great benefic, Jupiter, will conjoin with the mighty Sun on January 24 on the East Coast, and January 23 on the West Coast of the USA. In England this will happen January 24 in the wee hours of the morning, at 5:44 AM GMT. For all practical purposes, no matter where on the globe you live, circle January 23, the day when the power of this aspect is will be building to culmination. A planetary aspect is always at the strongest point the day it builds. Just after Jupiter meets with the Sun on January 23, you have another big day, equally important. On January 26, there will be a major solar eclipse, creating an opening for your career that could take your breath away. It looks like someone very high level will help you climb to the very top of the mountain and give you a panoramic view you've never seen before. You will begin to see your capabilities and your future through a new prism, and it will be exciting, thrilling, scary, and new, all rolled into one. Eclipses are some of the most powerful tools the universe uses to create change and opportunity. Not all eclipses are friendly, but this one is quite sweet and bright in every way. Even if something should happen that you deem "not good" keep an open mind. This eclipse is intent on sending you up, up, up the totem pole, so if your company downsizes your job as a result of this eclipse (and that is NOT indicated, but it could happen because I can't see everything in your chart), then let them keep their old job. You won't want it! You'll get something infinitely better as a result and you'll be glad the universe pulled you out of that old job. Home-related decisions and actions - whether involving new or currently owned property, home renovations, rentals, or purchases or sale of a house or condo - will bring stunningly positive results, too. Circle January 23 and 24 as your two best days to hear news. Jupiter has been related to miracles, so if you need one in regard to home OR career, don't give up - Jupiter may bring you one on the home AND career front. There are few elements in our lives as important as what we do for a living and or how we experience our home life, so the developments of this month should warm you to your toes. Mercury will be retrograde during this time of enormous change, from January 11 to February 1, so you will have to proceed carefully. Mercury in this position shows you will be moving through unfamiliar terrain and you need to sidestep a pothole here or there. The conditions around you will be in rapid flux, a truth you will see only later, in hindsight. There is one exception to the rule of never talking a job or selling a house when Mercury is retrograde. If you discover that you are given a second chance on buying or selling a real estate deal or are able to try for a career situation again that you assumed was over and done, you can proceed confidently. Mercury retrograde phases urge us to look back to find things of value from the past. So think of people you know, or opportunities that slipped through your fingers - you may be able to restart those now! If the situation is brand new, however, ask lots of questions in your meetings, and try to keep your options open. It appears that the conditions on which you are basing your decisions will radically change soon. If you make up your mind now, there is a high probability that you will regret your decision or have to renegotiate things later. Jupiter is showing that you are in hot demand, so play it cool. You can accept anything you want in February, for that would be the ideal time to initiate your actions, too. News of your new job and also a possible upgrade to living situation could occur in the last week of January, but this trend will get even bigger and more obvious in February when more and more planets gather in Aquarius. This just where you need them to be! Once Mars arrives in Aquarius on February 4, you should see quite a bit of exciting career action. The good part about February is that you won't have Mercury retrograde by then, but you will have Mar to keep you front and center on anyone's short list. By February 20, you should see events speed up even more as Mercury will have passed a certain critical degree by then. It's all for good! Travel could also be part of your agenda this month and if so, go early to enjoy the most glimmering vibrations! You may have decided to ring in the New Year on distant, possibly foreign shores, and if so, it was a great idea! You had so many planets in your house of distant travel, all in compatible Capricorn, that it was clear you'd experience tremendous personal growth from any trips you took, the more distant the better. If you need to travel for your job, you should come back very satisfied with the response and you may have the order, too. Your best time to go away (if you haven't already traveled in the week between Christmas and New Year's) would be during the first week of January. That's when you will still have Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, in the divine-for-Taurus sign of Capricorn. The full moon of Saturday, January 10, will fall in your house of short distance travel, so one way or another it looks like you'll be in a new setting. Considering how you seem to be moving into a new job soon, you might as well travel now. It looks like you'll be too busy in February. This full moon could easily bring papers for you to sign, but with Mercury retrograde, I can almost guarantee that some parts of the fine print will need to change. Keep in mind that Mercury acts its worst at the start and end of its retrograde phase: January 9-13 and January 29-February 3. However, I would like you to stay as far away as possible from January 11 to February 1. Try to do all your most important actions in February, and for best luck, leave a few days space after February 1. Also indicated for you in January will be a lovely opportunity for you to go back to college or to take other types of continuing education classes. If you do so, you'd enjoy so much about your experience - the subject, the institution, the way the teachers explain things, the other students, and the surroundings - the works! This January would be an ideal time to return to school because Mars, Pluto, and the Sun (as well as the most recent new moon, December 27) will still be shining in your house of knowledge. This part of your chart rules information we take in, but also give out - in that sense, information we share with others. If you work as a professor, and are not a student, you would also benefit in January in regard to any travel, study, or interactions with personnel on the campus where you will be teaching. Other areas of gain for you include: publishing, broadcasting, Internet, high tech industries, banking and insurance, antiques, and the buying, selling, studying, cataloging, or researching of things of historical value. If you are an archeologist, your services should be in demand, and advancement would be likely. Those Taurus who are awaiting the results of a court case should find the results in early January to be positive (the earlier, the better). Financially, one of your very best days to discuss a deal or to make financial decisions will be January 18 and 19. Mercury will make his annual phone call to Jupiter, an extraordinary event, and this year their topic will be to boost your salary and career! Creative projects also glow at that time of the month, plus or minus two days. Romantically, Venus' entry into your eleventh house of fun, friends, events, and new faces will be a boon to your social life. On January 9, when the Sun and Uranus will be so beautifully positioned, you may get invited to an impromptu party or other gathering, and you should go - absolutely! With the moon in Cancer, the Sun and Uranus so perfectly aligned, and Venus in Pisces, you'll have it made. You will sparkle and you'll enjoy the guests you meet. A new friendship or romantic interest could easily result, much to your surprise. The weekend of January 10-11 will link romance and travel to a nearby city, so plan a quick and fun trip in a pretty B&B for one or two nights. Be sure you have the correct address, have your luggage clearly marked, and have confirmed everything in advance. Tape a business card to the back of your iPod and your iPhone or BlackBerry and the bottom of your computer. With Mercury retrograde, you can't be too careful. We become very forgetful with this planet in retrograde and we misplace our belongings. If you have a business card attached, the item may come back to you. (I even keep my business card in my eyeglass case.) The days that span from Friday, January 23, through Monday, January 26, should be incredibly happy days. You'll probably have good news to share then, giving it a strong celebratory flavor, for sure. Mark the moment, dear Taurus! Summary This month is a marker time, one you will likely look back on and say, "All my career luck began at the start of 2009." You may also make a significant breakthrough with a home or real estate matter. What a month! There are several reasons for your sensational outlook for career progress. Jupiter, planet of good fortune, will be in your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame beginning on January 5 and will stay one year, until January 17, 2010. On January 18-19, Jupiter will meet with Mercury and help you get extraordinarily good news about money, as well as about your career. Then the luckiest day of the year arrives, an annual event, when Jupiter visits the Sun on January 23-24. This will be a magnificent meeting, so keep your antenna up for a terrific career opportunity to arise. In case you don't quite "get" what is going on in the heavens on your behalf, the universe is also sending you a highly friendly, supportive solar eclipse on January 26 that will fall in your house of fame and honors. This eclipse will open a whole path for you in the six months to follow, but you should see evidence of something happening almost immediately - if nothing occurs near this date, January 26, then watch events one month to the day later, on February 26, plus or minus four days. This eclipse will have the power to change your whole working life. Your home sector is also glittering, so if you have to make changes, you will find you can, and you'll achieve precisely the kind of results you had hoped. Pay close attention to the weekend of January 24-25 as your best in the year to make a sale, purchase, or decision about your home or other property. Romantically, travel and love are linked, so plan a trip away in your pea-green boat, just like the owl and the pussycat, dear Taurus. You may go far or near, as the choice will be up to you, but go you must - the aspects are twinkling brightly. You'll be working hard soon in your new position, so while you can go - and have so much fun - do! Dates to Note: Best romantic days: January 2-3, 5-6, 9-10, 18, 23-25, and 28. Financial news could make you extraordinarily happy: January 18, but may be felt as soon as January 16. Mercury will be retrograde: January 11-February 1. Travel to distant cities: Any time this month, but a trip is doubly special in at start of the month, January 1-6. Travel to close by locations anytime over the full moon period: January 8-14. Schedule financial talks: January 18 or 19, your two best for lucrative results. Career news could be the best in a decade and only gets bigger in February. Your first indication you are about to do well will arrive on January 18-19, plus or minus two days. Career news will only get bigger, better, and brighter as you go along. Watch for sudden, special career news to arrive over the luckiest days of the year: January 23, plus or minus one day. Huge career news is also due: January 25-26 (plus or minus one week), due to the new moon solar eclipse in your house of professional advancement and honors. |

Think of January as a wonderful turning point. The start of January could bring you astounding career news, some of the best you've had in years. The second half of January will usher in a completely new second trend, one that will be highly social and quite exciting for you. Those two trends that I am seeing are huge ones, so you should notice them and benefit from both of them. This month you also have a chance to see a big development with regard to a home or property situation, and it's also one you will like! There's lots going on, so let's get started! First, thanks to an important new moon that occurred last month on December 27 (and that will still be very strong in January's first week), you will have an extraordinary ability to advance your career now. Jupiter, which is the kind planet of good fortune and happiness, will be in his final days of Capricorn, still lighting your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame. Jupiter has been in this part of your chart all year and will leave this area in a matter of days (something we will talk about in a moment). For you to feel Jupiter's help, however, you needed other planets to push his energy toward you, and you will have precisely that in early January. The other little planets in our solar system are gathering together to give Jupiter a happy farewell party. When you get a crowd of planets in one house of the chart, as you will have now, we have a "stellium" or crown of stars, all orbiting close to one another. When those planets make a brilliant display of planetary affection for Jupiter, you will finally be able to find the job you want, if you have been looking (or would like to start looking now). Mars, the planet of energy and action, will be in attendance at this cosmic party and is set to stay in the career status area of your chart until February 4. Mars is a HUGE help, for Mars only makes it to this part of your chart once every two years - and when he does come, he brings an opportunity to start a new cycle. The Sun, the governing star of our solar system, will be there, adding warmth and authority by shining his powerful light on your achievements. The new moon was at the Sun's side recently, and her presence with the Sun is CRITICAL in getting ahead. Pluto, planet of transformations, will be at this party too, and from Pluto you can expect to get help from influential people and even from global companies and governments. Pluto is new to this house, and will stay FIFTEEN years! (To say you are about to become a force to be reckoned with is an understatement.) Mercury is there as well, and Mercury brings news and phone calls. Mercury is the little talker planet, and that's what you want - lots of talks generated about YOU! You may have received a phone call about a job offer at the end of December, and if so, you must follow up on that offer quickly. In astrology, it matters when you make your first initiation, so you need not actually get the job this month. What's important is that you generate that first phone call, email, letter, or meeting. If you haven't yet had a conversation about your job prospects, it looks like you will soon! Help things along by generating options for yourself. One day that you might want to keep your antenna up for sensational career news will be on January 9, when someone influential behind the scenes may speak up for you in a big way. You'll know your career is on fire then, for sure. In addition to Friday, January 9, also mark down the day prior, Thursday, January 8, as a day you may hear news. Keep in mind that Mars, your ruling planet (and therefore an indication of which direction you should focus your best energies), will remain in your professional sector all month. You have no idea what a wonderful help Mars will be to you as you go through the whole month of January! If ever there were a time to put all your energies forth to find a new position, it is in early January. Mars is currently helping you start a whole new two-year cycle, so it will be easier for you to get the attention of influential people at the top. Keep in mind that having benefic Jupiter's assistance in this house is rare. You will not have this level of planetary artillery again until 2019! Be sure to look both outside and inside your company, including other firms your company may own. You might be able to switch over to one of them. This energy is considered reward for work well done in the past, so it's not quite as appropriate for making a complete career switch to something new. OK, but now having said that, I will admit that you have simply extraordinary aspects this month, so you might be able to make things happen if you are passionate enough about making a change to a new career. Your cosmic support is awesome! If you are self-employed, see if you can get publicity for the good work you've been doing in your business lately, or think about launching an ad campaign to spotlight goods or services. Do so early in the month - don't delay. You might put the pieces in place for the launch of a new business too, as you are currently thinking big and conditions support you. Because this trend is one that will bring all past achievements to a reward point, try to draw on the experience you have already gained for your new venture. We need to look back at the aspects that occurred at the new moon on December 27 to see how you will be affected in the first half of January. (All new moons exert a powerful undertow of two weeks that will color the new moon period so strongly that in many cases that new moon will override some of the smaller aspects of the coming two weeks.) With so many planets shining at the top of your chart, it's clear that your next position would be a step up, not a lateral move. Jupiter was almost precisely conjunct Mercury at the December 27 new moon, so you'll likely have excellent working conditions, new and better computer equipment, and possibly an ability to hire extra staff to help you. You may enjoy these improved conditions immediately, but almost certainly will later in the year. Act quickly. Remember, you will have Jupiter at your side until January 5 and Mars all month, until February 4. Mercury will go retrograde from January 11 until February 1, another reason to put the pedal to the metal with any goals you have. You will feel a slowdown occur very soon. Mercury will start its retrograde in Aquarius, so older computers and electronic equipment will start to show wear and tear. Back up your data. If any machine part is starting to wear out, you will know it and need to go to the repair shop with your appliance or electronic. You might be wondering how Mercury retrograde will impede your progress as you move toward your new job. Admittedly, it is not a good time to accept a new job or sign contracts when Mercury is retrograde. Go slowly and ask a lot of questions. You can still proceed, but do so with caution if talks continue into the middle to end of January. Clearly, conditions will be in flux and you won't have all the available information you need to make a decision, even though you may be lulled into thinking you do. Information that you will be depending on will not be completely reliable. There is one way you can get around the problem of having Mercury retrograde this month, and it is this: if you are talking with someone you already know from your past job or if you had been interviewing for a new job for several weeks or months prior to January. So with Mercury retrograde, be patient, and don't try to speed the process once you've initiated things in early January. The people you are interviewing with probably don't know exactly what type of person they need. In fact, they appear to still be talking among themselves about the position. No reason to be concerned - let them sort that out. Your job is to be their number one pick - with your aspects it should be a piece of cake. The job may take until mid-year to be awarded. If so, you will have help then too, for you will have a full moon ECLIPSE (worth three full moons) on July 7. The eclipse should be helpful in getting you into a brand new situation - and Mercury won't be retrograde then either! There is some indication that you may have to relocate to take your new job, as there'll be another eclipse July 21 in your house of home. Your move may be across town, or across the country - or the world. It could be anywhere you want it to be! Eclipses bring massive changes, so keep your eye on the days near that date, and one month to the day later. Speaking of eclipses, there'll be a solar eclipse later this month! We will get to that, so stay with me. (All information in good time. Be patient….) So finishing up my discussion about your career, keep in mind you MAY settle things this month, but if not, stay optimistic because you have other aspects coming that will help you, too. There are lots of important planetary aspects that will be happening this year to help you into your new high-level job. I always feel that the life I am living now is completely contingent on seeds I planted in the past, whether that was ten years ago or a year ago. 2009 appears to be a year of exciting professional progress for you. If you are not happy, you must go out and see what's there for you! The full moon on January 10, plus or minus four days, will bring you a surprise opportunity to settle a home, property, or family matter that has been pending. This will be a gorgeous full moon, as Uranus will send a beautiful beam to the Sun and moon. You won't see this news coming until it is almost literally upon you - this full moon brims with surprises. You may get a chance to move or to fix up your space in just the way you had hoped. With Mercury retrograde this month, your home-related situation that comes up at the full moon, January 10, could be one that offers you a second chance with an opportunity that previously flew out of your hands. For example, if you were trying to sell your house and had a buyer, but that buyer backed out at the last minute, or YOU were the buyer and your bid was not accepted, that situation may come up again and you may be offered a second chance at fulfilling that deal. If you find you do go back to an earlier situation, things should work out very well. Mercury always will urge you to go back to the past to find ways to rework, revisit, or rethink things. Now let's turn to the social part of the month, which will herald a fresh new influence - one you will certainly love! All this will begin when Jupiter, planet of abundance, will move into Aquarius for the first time since 1997. This will happen on January 5, 2009, and begin to fill your eleventh house of hopes and wishes / friendships / events and people for a full year. This will be the new area of your chart to show gain, something you'll start to see become a hub of activity very soon. By time you leave 2009, you will have many more new friends, and you'll find them to be very jovial, successful types that will have a very positive effect on your life in various ways in coming months. For an indication of just how fortunate one or more friends will be for you, look first at what I call "the luckiest day of the year," which will arrive on January 24. On the East Coast of the United States, Jupiter will meet the Sun very early in the day at 12:24 AM EST. In this case, you will want to mark down January 23 as your bigger, more fortunate day. A planet is always at its most powerful while it is still moving toward its peak. These two are meeting into a very people-populated house, so it appears that a friend or acquaintance will touch you by being very good to you in some way. This person may make an introduction, give you a gift, or go out of his or her way for something that's important to you. Circle Friday, January 23, and Saturday, January 24, to see what happens! Also, you may see the fulfillment of a grand wish on this same day, as the eleventh house rules more than people you know - such as new contacts, acquaintances, and friends - but also your deepest desires. In that respect, this day may crystallize a material or spiritual wish - something you've long wanted and have had to be patient about getting! If your birthday falls on March 24 or within five days of that date, this luckiest day of the year should be even better for you! On top of this, a very beneficial eclipse will arrive on January 26. Can you believe that with all we have going on in January, we have a solar eclipse, too? Yes, we do! Sometimes eclipses are troublesome, but this one will be supremely fortunate for you and will open a whole new world. Many new faces are set to enter your life, and you will feel changed by the people you meet. This solar eclipse will fall in Aquarius, the sign of groups of all kinds, so you may decide to join a club or take a leadership post in a club that you already belong to. The club you join may be profession or social. Or, at this time, you may attend a trade show that nets you many new contacts and opportunities. Whenever people gather together for a common purpose, it is considered a group, and this is the area that will glow so brilliantly for you this month AND all year, dear Aries. The result of this eclipse could be as simple as one good friend helping you get ahead or solve a problem, or as massive as your being elected to president in a community or charity post. Aquarius, the sign where the eclipse will fall, also rules community, charitable, and humanitarian efforts. You may work in a not-for-profit field, and if so, you'll be beautifully positioned to create results you will be proud to tell others about later. Alternatively you may decide to volunteer to help a group, community, or political cause that has been neglected by society. You'd have ideal conditions to leave your mark on that endeavor, too. You would also get to display, and experiment with, various managerial styles and methods and to develop your skills, some that you'll be able to transfer to your real job. If you were born on March 25, you are most likely to feel the positive effects of this eclipse, but even if you are not an "early born" Aries with a March birth, you should see this lovely set of aspects help you. If you are self-employed, the eleventh house, so lit up, also rules profit from work done in 2008 for your business. In your case, money should flow in, and it will be directly related to what you did earlier. Are you not self-employed? You won't miss out - keep your eye on February 17, a date we will talk about next month. Remember, the place in the chart that will bring the solar eclipse on January 26, and earlier, where Jupiter and the Sun will meet on January 24, is an area that will be lit up all year for you: the area of friendship and groups! Not only will good-fortune Jupiter remain there throughout 2009, but more friendly eclipses will emphasize this area, too. Romantically, something amazing may happen next month on February 9 at the full moon lunar eclipse. Stay tuned! Summary You begin the year with bright, exciting news about your career. With a plethora of planets in Capricorn, setting ablaze your tenth house of honors and awards, the offer that is generated now will be one for the record books. You may be promoted within your present company, or switched to a different division of your present firm. Or, you may hear from a competitive firm. No matter - your new position should please you more than words can describe. Your new job will bring you up a whole new level and allow you to exercise all your leadership skills. You will be in charge of major budgets too, and you can do that - no problem! It appears the offer could come from a large, international, global conglomerate firm. January 8 or 9 could bring a surprise phone call. Mercury will retrograde from January 11 to February 1. Be sure to proceed carefully on any new offers sent, though you will be thrilled. It is not a wise time to sign contracts or to actually agree to a new position. You can interview, but take your time. The exception to this rule would be if your offer emanates from a former employer - you can act on that offer now because going back to someone from the past is precisely what Mercury will urge you to do in January. Even if you don't get a new job offer from your old pal or associate, you may get a tip that leads you in the right direction. You may have already received your first career offer in the last days of December, or you may hear something this week. Keep in mind that you don't have to actually be awarded the job during January - but you do have to initiate talks in early January. You might get something now, but because superb positions often take time to win, it may take six months or more from now to actually capture your new title. You have an important, friendly full moon eclipse coming in six months, on July 7, so that may be the time the pieces of your plan will come together. Another big trend is blowing through your window, having to do with fun and friendship. After Jupiter enters Aquarius on January 5, you'll be mixing and mingling with many more people in the year ahead. Jupiter will be set to stay in this part of your chart until January 17, 2010 - oh, happy day! Friends will have a beneficial effect on all parts of your life, from enlarging your interests, increasing your insights, and widening your perspective. If single, meeting more people will help you come in contact with someone intriguing, very likely through a friend's introduction. Note the luckiest days of the year: January 23-24, when good fortune Jupiter will conjoin the Sun. That's a rare annual event, and these two magnificent bodies will meet in your friends and groups sector. You will benefit enormously from a friend's kindness - watch and see! The lovely influences you feel on this day will also act as a preview to the year to come. New friends who care about you are on the way. The new faces that will enter your life will be happy, cheerful types you'll want to cultivate because they will be stimulating and so very affirming of you! Dates to note: Career news is FANTASTIC all month - the best of the decade - but particularly so from January 1-9. Your career gets an unexpected boost of good news from a top level person: January 8 or 9. Mercury goes retrograde: January 11-February 1. Hear great news from an old friend - you'll be very happy: January 18. Electronics could bring problems and need repair: From January 11, but especially from January 21-31. Buy no electronic items, machines, or appliances this month, and don't install new software until February. A home or family situation will get solved, at long last, and bring a conclusion you'll like: January 10. The luckiest day of the year brings news that a friend will help you enormously: January 23-24. Most romantic dates this month: January 3-4, 5, 9, (great for blind date), 11, 21, 24-25, and 30-31. Previous Month's Forecast P.S. from Susan Miller HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AQUARIUS! "In February, winter winds still howl around every corner. Rather than brave Mother Nature's fury, it's time to withdraw inside where it's cozy warm. As an Aquarius, the internal world of the mind is a vast one where ideas pop up at every turn. Your role in life is to be the iconoclast - the one to question tradition and upset the applecart. Your way of thinking could never be called ordinary or typical, not with innovative Uranus, the planet of genius, as your ruler. Call a friend and plan a proper afternoon tea. When you meet with your friend, you'll have ideas to discuss, a plan to hatch, or a group to organize. As you pour the fragrant tea into the cups, you'll talk about this or that, and the elements of your plan will gradually begin to slip into place. You'll appreciate your friend's intellectual input, for you'll spot the parts of your endeavor that still need reworking and also those that are strong. As an Aquarius, you live in your head most of the time and might even have to remind yourself that you HAVE a body - one that sometimes needs exercise! You're happy to sit at your computer for hours, writing, doing research, occasionally playing games or returning emails. You are considered the zodiac's scientist, an intellectual sign that enjoys studying all sorts of information to get to ultimate truths. Despite your fierce insistence on objectivity and rational thinking, a sympathetic heart beats inside your chest. You would do anything to help a friend or group in need. So pour another cup of tea, and continue to talk through your plans, dear Aquarius. We're all depending on you for answers!" By Susan Miller, caption under still life with two cups for Aquarius, February 2009 on the new "The Year Ahead 2009 Astrological Wall Calendar" A tidbit from one of the date squares from Friday, February 14 reads: "Valentine's Day" "Mercury enters Aquarius - let the text messages fly!" In the front of the calendar is a brief forecast for each of the signs, a 3,500-word article. Here just a small part of what I wrote for Aquarius for the Year Ahead 2009: "This will be your wonder year! Jupiter, the great planet of good fortune, will enter Aquarius on January 5, its first visit to your sign since 1997, and will herald the start of an extraordinary golden epic. Over the past three years your mettle was severely tested, and at times you must have felt that you were walking the gauntlet. You'll see a complete turnaround to those debilitating conditions as you enter a period of unprecedented personal growth. Enormous opportunity is about to come your way on just about every level. The relationships, endeavors, and new ventures you start now will carry you forward until Jupiter comes back to begin a new cycle again in late 2020." (The prediction continues longer.) No matter what sign you happen to be, there is a prediction for you, and a personality description. I personally wrote all 10,000 words that the calendar contains, and put a great deal of love and care into it. |

December 2008 Pisces Monthly Horoscope, Horoscope Archive, Natal Chart, Forecast, Prediction Exciting career progress will be evident as December opens. Mars will be shining a brilliant beacon of light in your reputation and career sector, making you quite the celebrity in your company or industry. Mars is now in a rare visit to your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame, so any career spot you win or special publicity you receive would represent a big advancement in your stature. You will be noticed now, and although as a Pisces you are often shy about being in the limelight, try to enjoy it this time - you've worked hard and earned the rewards you are getting now. You've not seen professional acclaim similar to this in two years, because it's been that long since Mars last visited this house. You are now about to start a new professional cycle, and your prospects for success in 2009 and 2010 could not be better. If you want a promotion, ask your boss for one now when you are most likely to get it. Even if you think your ambitions are fairly obvious, it would be worth talking over your future in the firm with your boss now. If you have been (or will be) interviewing for a new job elsewhere, you will impress VIPS - keep the faith! Some jobs take weeks or month to finalize. What matters is that you begin the interview process now. If you had a major interview for an important position at the end of November, your timing was perfect and chances are that this particular opportunity will be offered to you. If you have not had any talks, try to schedule an interview for a new job immediately. If you are self-employed, as December opens, present ideas and pitch new business - you have a wonderful chance of winning approvals. Praise from present clients should be strong and flattering. Whether you are employed by others or work for yourself, you also have a good change of being written up in the press, and when you read what was written about you, you will be pleased. Life can't always be this sweet, so when planets are THIS cooperative, take full advantage. It is so rare to see the kind of planetary power you have this month! The first week of December will be your strongest for these types of career matters, thanks to the appearance of a key new moon that fell on November 29 and that still will be exerting a strong energy flow as the month opens. As you move farther and farther away from the new moon of November 29, you begin to lose light. Take your first steps early on. December offers you special advantages for another reason. This is the only month of all of 2008 that holds no retrograde planets. (In 2007, there were actually no months that held this remarkable advantage.) A retrograde planet is a sleeping planet, and one that is not emitting its best and brightest light. We depend on the strong, robust energy of each planet to help us navigate our way through life, and when we are without it, we find that things don't fit together quickly and easily. This month is rare in that all planets will be marching to the same quick-paced tune! Any activity goes better when planets move at strong, direct orbit as they will this month. While it is true that Saturn will turn retrograde on December 31, this barely "counts" because it is unlikely that you will be doing anything of vital importance on this day, when most people have at least part of the day off. For all practical purposes, December will be your ideal month to move ahead with vigor! When Uranus in Pisces turned to direct speed late last month on November 27, it marked an important and happy turning point for you. Uranus, the planet of surprise and creativity, has been retrograde for the past five months, since mid-June, but now will be in the right position to help you. Uranus will not turn retrograde again until July 1, 2009, and that is more than enough time to for you to make a success of your mission. When a major planet turns direct and is in your sign, that's major news. You should see a quickening pace and lots of progress on goals both personal and professional, at long last! Now we need to talk about a monster full moon due December 12. I bring it up only so that you will be prepared and not feel suddenly broadsided by events. This full moon will emphasize your family and home life. Uranus will oppose that full moon, so you are likely to have news come up that you would never have expected. Keep your cell phone powered up, and have your office, friends, and family aware of your general schedule should anyone need to find you. There are many ways this full moon may play out, and I will offer a few of the many possibilities. Your landlord may announce he has sold the building and all the tenants have to vacate their apartments within a short time. Your roommate may suddenly announce she's moving out soon to get married. You may have a problem with the building's structure - the roof may leak or the electricity may be faulty - and you will need to get things fixed pronto. Whatever news you receive, it appears not to be something you were expecting to hear. Alternatively, you may become concerned about the welfare or health of your mother, father, or grandparent, or even your own physical state. No matter what comes up, news may temporarily make you feel kicked off kilter. Be careful not to have too much on your plate between December 10 and 15. I realize that is easy to say, but not that easy to follow at holiday time. Your quick attention will be needed to deal with whatever comes up, however, so keep that in mind. Full moons don't just deliver news, but almost always require a response, too. With Uranus and Saturn both sending harsh vibes to that full moon and Pluto in wide mathematical degree in opposition, it will seem that everyone will need you at once. Your career will be quite demanding then too, and a partner (whether in business or personally) will not know how to help you, and may actually wind up becoming more of the problem than the solution. Your friends will be gems, however, so if you need support or advice, you can rely on them wholeheartedly with the knowledge they will have your best interests in mind. You won't have many options, so facing the reality of the situation will be the first step. Having said that, there always are more options than the ones you see initially. Keep thinking and playing with the challenge, for you will see more possibilities as you look. With Mercury in fine position to other planets in the last week of December, an idea may come up that proves to be workable and the very best solution. You may wonder why you didn't think of it sooner. Protect your health all month, particularly at the time of the full moon, December 12 plus or minus three days. Don't do anything that would bring harm to bones or teeth. For example, perhaps that would not be the time to go skiing. Try to remain calm at this time, too - your nerves may be frayed, and you may feel like too many demands and too much news is being hurled at you at once. It will be a draining time, so plan to eat right and get enough sleep to cope. If your birthday falls on March 11 or within five days of this date, try to take advice to heart. I am so sorry to report it could turn out to be a trying time. Fortunately a full moon will require a swift response, with almost no time to deliberate. You will announce your plans and move forward. I am glad this full moon does not occur any later in the month, for everyone, of every sign, will get a chance to regroup and calm down in time to enjoy the holiday. Now, here's the sweetest surprise of the month - the loving collection of six planets in highly compatible Capricorn to fill your house of friendship, events, and fun. Once you get to December 21 when the Sun enters Capricorn, your whole mood will lift and you'll soon see a truly dazzling holiday is in store for you. Mercury rules your house of home, and throughout the last third of the month, Mercury will be in fine conversation with a number of powerful planets. This tells me that although news may initially rattle you, if you stay calm, you can have a good ending by the time the month is over. Actually, a friend may be quite helpful at this time by providing the right solution. With so many planets stacking up in your friendship house, it looks like you will be invited to a number of swanky parties. This year is really special, and even if you protest and say you never go to parties, all I can say is, get your outfits ready anyway! Although all the action will take place from December 21 to 31, there is one day that comes as the month opens that I would like you to circle on your calendar. That date will be December 1 when Jupiter will align with Venus, a rare and dazzling aspect that will bring you a pampering, fun event that you won't want to miss. This may be a career-related gathering, or one that is purely personal and fun - either would bring a touch of luxury. You need a night out - this could be your first one of the season. Once you get to December 21, the heavy-duty emphasis on your career that was so evident since November 16 will begin to subside and you will be able to devote yourself fully to the joys of the season. On December 24, when Mercury will be in superb angle to Uranus, you are due to get a surprise message that thrills you from a friend or parent. You may also receive a beautiful and touching gift from that person. Yet the affection a friend or relative has for you will be what you value most, more than any material thing could ever bring you. As a Pisces, you understand this of course, and may feel reminded of just how lucky you are to have this person in your life. On December 26, a partner may be quite supportive and together you can build a plan for the future, thanks to the interplay of Mercury with Saturn. If you need a day to sign a contract, this would be your day to do so, as Saturn will see to it that any promises you make to one another will be promises that are kept. If you need to get a marriage license, this would be a great day to do so! On Saturday, December 27, the new moon in your eleventh house of friends will ratchet up your level of socializing and fun even more! Simultaneously, Venus will conjoin with Neptune, which is one of the most glamorous and romantic aspects possible. Neptune rules Pisces, so this conjunction will have your name written all over it. Get ready for a bewitching evening, and more to come as the week continues! The new moon will also arrive on this day, December 27, and will take the energy of the prevailing six planets in Capricorn and bring it together so that you can see and feel it clearly, in an exciting way. Expect outstanding opportunity and happiness to stem from the kindness of friends and by participating in groups that you may belong to as well. If you have been considering joining a club, whether a social club or professional organization, do so in the week that follows this new moon, December 27, for superb rewards await you from your membership if you do. Truly, don't put this off - this aspect comes once every 12 years, so there would be something special to be gained from becoming a member, advantages you can't quite see at this time. This holiday season you may also decide to help a charity by doing volunteer work, and if so, you would derive much pleasure from the work you do. You would also be able to demonstrate how effectively you can organize an event to produce solid results. If anyone underestimated you, with the star power you have going for you now, this person certainly won't for long. By month's end this naysayer will be speechless. In all, December just brims with fun, friends, romantic episodes, and joyous feelings. Your favorite moment will come when Mercury conjoins Jupiter on December 31, which is, of course, New Year's Eve. Wow, dear Pisces, what timing! On this glittering evening, the moon will also be in Pisces, laying the groundwork for a perfect evening to ring in the New Year. Even if you've always stayed home on New Year's, it appears you will be out and about and enjoying yourself to the fullest this year. It appears that you'll be invited to a rather special party, one populated with many successful and well-dressed people. The conversation will be as bubbly as the fine champagne. The food, music, and soft lighting will add to the soft and gentle mood, and make this night one to remember. With a strong emphasis in Capricorn, the party would have a lovely old-fashioned quality about it, with lots of tradition woven through it. Perhaps it will be given at a proper university club, with wood-paneled walls and stained glass windows - the building could be a landmark in the town. The mood would be cozy and romantic, for sure. This sounds like a night you won't want to miss, dear Pisces! If your birthday falls on February 25 or within five days of this date, you will have a double dip of fun. No matter when your birthday happens to fall, it appears your friend will give the party on New Year's Eve, but if not, you can also consider giving the party. If you do, everyone will be buzzing about how talented you are at hosting, and how much fun it all was. Summary This month seems to have everything in it, and it will keep you on your toes. During the first three weeks, your career will demand almost all your attention, and rightfully so, for your successes will come quickly, one right after the other. Early December will be a great time to make career decisions. You may be interviewing for a new position or getting quite a bit of publicity for the hard work you've done in your career over the past two years. A very difficult full moon, December 12, plus or minus four days, will immediately rivet your attention on your family or a home / property situation. I will not kid you - this full moon is a monster, for it will lash out at Saturn, Uranus, Mars, and the Sun. That's a lot of planets to take on at once, and all those planets will be quite literally in four different quarters of the sky at the time. Emotion will be high, and adjusting to unanticipated events will be hard, particularly if you were born near March 11, plus or minus five days. You will need to do your holiday preparations early so that you have a completely empty calendar at midmonth. There is no way you can handle more than that full moon - you will have to drop everything once news hits. By the time you resume your life, it will be December 17 or 18 or even later, and the pressure to get things done for the holiday will be unbearable. Be smart and get shopping, wrapping, and shipping done by the December 6-7 weekend. If you plan to put up a tree, do it that weekend. If you have family members, especially children, who are depending on you to make a holiday tradition for them, you will absolutely need to be ahead of schedule. Still, remain optimistic. Mercury rules your home and family sector, and Mercury will be meeting with every big planet on your behalf during December's second half. Mercury may well have good news to bring you on December 24, 26, and 31, so hang in there! This month has more twists and turns than a Hitchcock movie. As stormy as the full moon will be at midmonth, brilliant sunshine is due at month's end, so keep the faith. The last ten days of the month will find you surrounded by literally dozens, if not hundreds, of friends and happy people. Many will be people who adore you and who will be celebrating the arrival of the New Year with you. It will be a truly heartwarming time, when friends will show you how dearly you are loved and admired. You will have many career successes to celebrate by then, too. Lift your champagne glass and toast life. You have every reason to be excited about 2009! Happy New Year, dear Pisces! Dates to watch for December: Most romantic evenings: December 1, 21, 22, 24, 26-28, and 31. Join a club or organization: December 27 plus 1 week. A highly placed friend could be quite helpful to you: December 22. A kind gesture of a friend surprises and touches you: December 24. Your home or a family member may be a major concern at the full moon: December 12 (plus or minus 3 days). If so, keep calm - the last week of December brings helpful home and family vibrations. Even though you'll have to make a decision near December 12, you may find better solutions in a matter of days later. Make a promise to a partner or sign a contract: December 26. A luxurious party will be all you want it to be: December 31. |

December 2008 Aquarius Monthly Horoscope, Horoscope Archive, Natal Chart, Forecast, Prediction As the month opens, you'll be ready and eager to partake of holiday festivities. You had many career developments in November and may have made a number of important decisions. Happily, by the time you get to early December it will be time for play. If you haven't already received a number of intriguing invitations, they should surface soon and you will have lots to gain by circulating and making new friendships. A very encouraging new moon appeared in your friendship house a few days prior to the start of December, on November 29. That was a darling new moon, for it communicated with several other planets in a very friendly way. Think of a new moon as a window of opportunity that opens for a two-week period. The choices you make and events you attend in that time span, involving friends, clubs you belong to, and charities you will get involved in, will affect your whole year to come. Be open to new faces and cultivate new friendships. New people will introduce you to even more people as you go along - and with 2009 showing a potential for enormous personal growth, you will want to make as many new friends and acquaintances as possible. Those people will expose you to new ideas and interests, and help you with your goals in a way you've not seen in a long time. Also, Mars will light your house of friendship until December 27, a sure sign that friends will surround you and that you will have a really good chance of having fun. Last year at holiday time Mars was lighting your workaday sector, a trend that lasted months, from the end of September through early May. Alas, last year you were doing some gruelingly hard work at the office, so if you had a chance to attend parties, you probably arrived a bit worn to the bone. Thank goodness this year will be different, dear Aquarius. Astrology reveals that the universe is built upon principals of symmetry and balance, and this year will be your turn to have fun. You deserve it, and more importantly, you need it. Some new moons are friendly and some are not - the new moon at the end of November will act like a fairy godmother who is there to answer many of your wishes. Mars, the action planet, arrived arm in arm with that new moon last month, a sure sign that your social life would get a big zap of adrenaline in early December. Mars loves to communicate with his lover Venus, so when the two are in compatible signs, you always do well socially. That's not easy to achieve, but that WILL happen this month. Venus will move into Aquarius on December 7 and remain in your sign until December 31. Wow! Having Venus in Aquarius as you go through the holiday season will be a big plus to your popularity, for Venus will make your charms much more apparent. If you've ever felt invisible (and who among us has not?) Venus will make sure you are in the spotlight and receiving lots of flattering attention. Moreover, Venus will be in a lovely angle to Mars, now in highly compatible Sagittarius. Venus will be in an air sign - yours - and Mars will be in a fire element. Air makes fire burn brighter. Mars is the sign of passion and sexy allure - need I say more? You really have a nice chart, dear Aquarius. If your birthday falls on January 25, plus or minus five days, you will receive a double dip of pleasure in the first nine days of December. These aspects are so sweet early in the month that all Aquarians will have reason to be excited by the holiday season. Money has been a troubling issue all year, particularly in March, September, possibly October. Now, on December 5, Uranus and Mercury will bring you some sort of development you would rather not hear and increase financial stress. This seems to be only the tip of the iceberg, because later, a more troublesome phase may surface, first on December 10, the date the Sun and Uranus will have an argument, and more so when the moon is full, December 12, plus three days. I am so sorry to have to report that news. Everyone, of every sign, will notice turbulence at this time of the month. You will see world events and news will report tension, too. Don't throw up your hands however - I see some encouraging news later in the month, so stay with me. Let me first describe the full moon in a little more detail. That full moon will be in hard angle to Uranus and Saturn, and in wide opposition to Pluto. You may find that you want to participate in a beautiful social event that will be too expensive for your budget, causing you intense frustration. Planets will square off one another, and their lack of cooperation to each other will bring you more of the same. As we say, as above (in the heavens), so too below (here on earth). If you are dating, you may see certain character traits in your partner that make you upset at this time. If you are attached, you may hope for your partner's support and sympathy to get you through this, but that seems not to happen. Alas, your partner's distant, unsympathetic attitude seems to take you by surprise, and make you even more upset. Expect little or no help from a close partner and you won't be disappointed. There is one other possible way this full moon may work out in your life, and that may have to do with your children, if you have a child or are pregnant. Your concern about money may enter into an important decision you need to make now, but in this case, see if you can find the answer before you give up. Often there are many more ways to solve a problem than what we immediately see, so spend a little time thinking about the situation from different angles. The fifth house, to be so lit up at this full moon December 12, also rules creative projects, so there is one other possible manifestation. If you are currently working on a creative project that is nearing completion, unexpected cost overruns that prove unavoidable could suddenly shoot upward, leaving you frantic. I am not sure why, but it appears you would have to foot the bill for many, if not all, of those costs. In this case, your agent or business partner would be of no help to you and that reality seems to upset you as much as the main situation itself. Still, the situation has its upside, too. The full moon will fall in Gemini, a sign that blends beautifully with yours. This indicates that despite the stress, you may be able to find answers to deal with some of the challenges that come up. Thankfully, this full moon will fall early enough in December so that it will not affect your spirits for the holiday. Indeed, by time you get toward the end of the month, your attention will have moved on to happier subjects. If your birthday falls on February 9 or within five days of this date, you will feel the pressures of this full moon directly, but you will also be the best equipped to deal with the matter at hand. If you sit in a quiet place, you may come up with truly imaginative solutions. The universe will never test you without giving you all the tools you need to cope with that problem. Sometimes we become so emotionally involved with the problem that we don't see the good solution that is almost literally staring us in the face, so be sure to slow down and really think. The answer is there, dear Aquarius. As I mentioned earlier, you may get some near-miraculous news about money in the last week of December, so keep hope alive, dear Aquarius! You may want to circle the following dates on your calendar: First, December 24, when a surprise check or very generous gift will arrive for you that will take your breath away, thanks to Mercury and Uranus in perfect sync. All news should be good news! On December 26, a decision you make concerning your finances and debt turns out to stabilize things in a very comforting way. This would be an excellent day to sign a contract. On December 31, a confidential meeting you have would work out beautifully. Who will you choose to see? Here is something else to consider that should give you cheer. Late month on November 27, Uranus, your ruling planet, finally turned direct after having been retrograde since June 27. During that five-month phase, it may have been hard for you to see progress in your most important endeavors and relationships. If you feel as though you have been pushing a boulder up a hill, you now know why. A retrograde planet is a planet that's sleeping and not exerting strong, supportive vibes, so you cope as best you can. You may have made progress, of course, but considering how hard you were working toward your goal, it likely was not progress big enough or fast enough to suit you. The good news is that Uranus will move at a strong, sure, direct speed from now until July 1, 2009, giving plenty of time to make tracks. You will love the change! Perhaps you have already noticed a quickening of the pace, particularly in regard to your career and important relationships, and in other areas that matter to you. If not, you will see gratifying progress soon, as early as January and February. Now let's look at the last third of December. A rather extraordinary migration of SIX planets to Capricorn will begin to build on December 21, and this energy will only increase as you get to the end of the month. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, is about to leave Capricorn. Many planets are moving toward the constellation of Capricorn to give Jupiter a proper farewell. Among the guests to join Jupiter in this cosmic party will be the Sun, new moon (as of December 27), Mars, Mercury, and Pluto. Saturn is on assignment in your financial sector, but is beaming gifts of stability. Uranus will be on assignment elsewhere too, and will send gifts of innovation and creativity. With so many planets gathering in your twelfth house, your intuition will operate at uncanny levels, so in late December, keep your own counsel rather than rely on others' advice. This will be true in all cases, even should you need to act in the light of very little information. Listen to your gut, and move forward. With so many planets in your twelfth house you can now toss off old habits you no longer want to continue and rehabilitate your mind, body, and spirit. If you want to give up a habit that has proven very difficult, see if you can find a coach or other person to help you. Keep in mind that December is the only month of 2008 where no planets will be retrograde, although Saturn will turn retrograde in the afternoon of December 31. (Mercury is due to retrograde January 11. For now, you have an open road!) You may hear of a friend or relative who is in the hospital in late December, or you may decide to go in for a medical or dental procedure yourself. Actually, with Jupiter moving through your twelfth house, you have no reason to worry, for you can expect fine care from medical personnel in any type of care facility, whether it be a hospital, rehab center, dentist's office, nursing home, or physical therapy center. Many people schedule procedures for this time of the year because it is a time that affords lots of privacy and rest. Romantically, single Aquarius may have a hot blind date that actually clicks this month. Ask friends to make an introduction for you, and schedule your meeting over coffee for Monday, December 1. Once Jupiter, planet of happiness and good fortune, moves to Aquarius on January 5, 2009, for the first time since 1997, it will launch you into your very best year in over a decade. Your love life should zing in a way you've not seen in a long time - or ever! 2009 should positively dazzle for romance. If you are single and hoping to meet someone new, there is an excellent chance that you would meet your true soul mate soon. If you are in a relationship that has become a bit tired that you would like to revitalize, that too will be possible. You will be crowned the celestial favorite of the entire zodiac in 2009, erasing memories of the terribly hard difficulties you experienced from 2005 to 2007. Jupiter will remain at your side to support you in every way until January 17, 2010 - a full year! Indeed, the coming year will be your true wonder year. Next month I will go into detail about how you can use this amazing energy to your advantage. For now, we need to keep focused on December. As you get closer to the holidays, the social activity will simmer down, and you will be more in the mood for a quiet, reflective holiday. The twelfth house encourages deep thinking, so imagine what you would like to accomplish in your glorious year to come. Surround yourself with the most important people in your life - your family, romantic partner, and closest friends. You now are standing in the wings, about to go on stage. The curtain will go up on January 5. Before it does, take a deep breath, stand a little taller, and keep all your dearest goals in the forefront of your mind. It's time to banish the cacophony of voices around you so that you can get in touch with the small voice within, the one that tells you what will really make you happy. You are about to launch yourself into a new fresh life cycle. The people and endeavors you cultivate in 2009 will carry you forward into your next decade. Choose carefully, dear Aquarius. By taking time to stop, look, and listen to your heart now, you will be in a far better position to take full advantage of the abundance of opportunity that is about to come your way. So while the last days of December will seem quiet to friends and family who are near you, if they could see within you, they would see a bubbling pot of ideas, innovations, and enthusiastic plans that will be soon launched into the wild blue yonder. For now, keep private thoughts private. You will be able to take your life in any direction you choose in 2009. No need to listen to others' opinions of what you should choose to do - you can decide for yourself, because finally you've reached the time that is truly all about you. Summary This month finds you standing on the threshold of a New Year unlike any other you have experienced in a very long time. It holds the potential for extraordinary happiness, including major career success, much better health, and the finding and flourishing of true love. If you are already in love or attached, that love will only grow deeper and more lasting. You are known to always have an opposite view and an opposite experience from anyone else in any given circumstance. That may hold true this month at the very difficult full moon, December 12, plus or minus four days. This full moon falls in Gemini, a fellow air sign, so if anyone can find a way to make events work in your favor - even though everyone else is screaming skyward like Chicken Little - it will be you. Love and money seem to be on your mind, but it is unclear if they are related to one another or not. Whatever comes up will be completely unexpected. Try not to have a knee-jerk reaction. Instead, slow down to think things through. It will not be easy to avoid being impulsive. Your intuition will be a better compass than any advice you receive from others. You may hear of a friend or relative in the hospital in the last ten days of December, but if so, be comforted in knowing that your chart shows that this person will be assured superb care. If you decide to go in for a procedure, you will be going at the very best time, too. If you have gathered second and third opinions and trust your selected doctor, you are right to move forward in December. As you get ready to accept the title of celestial favorite of all the signs on January 5, take this month to slow down and listen to the whisperings of your inner voice. Ask yourself: What will make you happy in your New Year? What is it you would most dearly like to achieve? You've been so busy lately that you've barely had time to think, yet it is critical that you do. The more clearly you know what you'd like to see happen in 2009, the more likely it will. See yourself as the star of a movie you are writing now, dear Aquarius. Make it happen! Oh, what a glorious year you have in store! Happy New Year, dear Aquarius! Dates to watch for December: Invitations to parties will proliferate: December 1-9. Go! A partner may be unsympathetic, or worse, part of the problem: December 10. Financial considerations may make attending a social event too difficult: December 12. Alternatively, If working on a creative project, it will take a turn that will incur overruns or high expenses, some or all of which you will have to absorb: December 12, plus or minus three days. If the above two circumstances don't fit, concern for a child or pregnancy, along with generally tight funds, may create enormous stress. Have faith - you can find an answer. Keep searching. If single, a blind date will go far better than you ever expected: December 1 Venus will favor you from December 7-31. Most romantic dates of December: 1-2, 6-8, 20-21, 24-26, and 29-31. Plan a private celebration for "just us two" on December 31, New Year's Eve. Previous Month's Forecast |
