When I made my charts for the year, dear Scorpio, this new moon stood out like a beacon in the night. It was the only one that seemed nearly flawless, which is unusual. This new moon will send a powerful beam to Jupiter, in your house of communication, so you'll be sending your message, artistic expression, or words "out there" for the whole world to see and hear. You may get amazing publicity in May, or you may launch a website or an important advertising campaign, or you may update your image by unveiling a completely redesigned logo for your business, for example. While you are at it, you may redo the look of "you" too!

The new moon offers more. At the very same time, three planets will be nearly perfectly positioned to create a sparkling triangle of stars called a "grand trine," considered the most fortunate aspect possible. It is as rare as it is beautiful, and as powerful as it is beneficial. Venus in your partnership sector will send a beam to Saturn in your house of friendship, and to Pluto, in your house of travel and communication. This configuration will bring you closer to communities of people, many of whom are fans of yours. Pluto rules masses and masses of people, so it's very likely that you will get certain publicity this month, or that you will speak, lecture, or publish your expressions.

Your career progress should cheer you thoroughly too, and will form a big part of the month, for Mars, your secondary ruler, will light your house of promotion and fame from May 9 to June 30. This month the full moon on May 19 will fall in Scorpio in a late degree, which is remarkable. Last month, the full moon fell on April 19, in an early degree of Scorpio. Two full moons in a row, both falling in Scorpio, is both unusual and special, for it points to how much the cosmic limelight is shining on you, dear Scorpio. This full moon will send beautiful vibes to both Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, and to Uranus, the planet of out-of-the-blue surprise. Not only will you see things go your way, but the universe seems to have hidden a few cosmic goodies to toss your way when you least expect them to come.

If you were born on November 19, plus or minus four days, you will feel this full moon most - this full moon will probably be the most important one of the year for you. Something of vital importance will come to rapid conclusion, and it could be a long hoped-for dream or the start of a new relationship. If you were born near this date, this should a month to long remember - a true landmark point.

Even if you weren't born near November 19, you may have other planets at 29 degrees of a water or earth sign (or close to that degree) that will be triggered. If you have your natal chart, you can look to see if you do, but if not, don't sweat it - just wait and see. This kind of luck will be obvious. If this full moon positively rocks your world in a happy way, you'll know it!

There is one tiny aspect that is not harmonious with this full moon, May 19, and that's Neptune. You may have a misunderstanding with a partner or need to address a confusing home or real estate situation at that time. Neptune conceals and brings fog, so you may not even know there's a problem until it's staring you in the face. Stay flexible. Water or water-related problems could give you pause - a leak, a broken pipe, tainted water in the well, or the like could force you to pay attention and find a quick fix. You have so much going for you at the time, I wouldn't worry too much about this - you will know how to handle it.

Romantically, it's clear that if you are currently romantically involved you will have the edge this month. As said, an engagement or wedding is in the air! Even if you aren't feeling ready to commit, with Venus in your relationship sector, the way you communicate together this month will be especially tender, warm, and close. Mercury will retrograde from May 26 to June 19, so whatever you do this month, you will need to wrap up talks and agreements early on, well in advance of May 26. Mercury will retrograde in the sign it rules, Gemini, so this impending retrograde period is likely to be particularly difficult. Gemini rules transportation, so you may have very long waits at the airport or on the road.

It leads me to think that if you are going on a trip, it may be wise to get travel insurance. Most people get that type of insurance for cruises, but this month and in June you might want it for any kind of trip. Here in America, we saw long lines of people at the airports recently when the FAA began looking closer at the way airlines were policing their own maintenance and repair programs of airplanes - and finding serious gaps. This inspection process will increase and intensify, judging by the position of Mercury. If you drive, have your car brought in for a tune-up before you leave.

Mercury also rules commerce, so when it retrogrades, it is not a time to buy or sell anything expensive, whether that be a house, a car, or anything electronic. Wait until late June to do so, a few days AFTER June 19. If you were planning to buy your father something electronic for Father's Day in June, buy your gift in early May and hide it for now!

Mercury in Gemini will actually tour a financial part of your chart, so you may find that payments that others owe you will arrive slowly or be held up indefinitely. Most of us begin to feel things slow down two weeks prior to the retrograde, so if Mercury retrogrades on May 26, that would make May 12 your last strong, clear day.

Begin to check on your payments the moment May opens rather than wait until the owing party gives you a nutty excuse about why you've not been paid. You have heard these excuses before, but sometimes you hear a creative one: "The mainframe blew up." "We are switching our payment system to India and temporarily suspending all payments to you for a while." Or "The head of the finance department just quit." (Well, who would blame her for walking out of your insane asylum of a company?) "We are training on new software (for three months now) and we still have no idea how to write a check." (Can I send you a pen?)

Here's another one: "Storms in the midsection of the country held up your invoices." (Really? That would be all the invoices I sent you over the past six months?) Or my favorite, "A horrible intern threw out all your invoices and discovering this, we had to fire him." (I am shocked! The person you never paid to begin with is now is fired, and was trusted with the firm's most important incoming invoices?) I once was told an express mail truck couldn't make it up the hill to deliver their mail - in the summertime! Here's a humdinger: "We sent your money to the wrong person and we are sorting this out. It will take until our next payment cycle, four weeks from now, to straighten this out."

Here is a funny one: "We are painting our accounts receivable department, so everyone is on vacation now." In one case, the person who owed me money was honest: "I spent all the money I owe you on my trip to Singapore."

Oh, my goodness. Don't wait to hear these crazy, wild and woolly reasons why you have not been paid. Gently send reminder messages before a problem ever shows up, dear Scorpio.
