September 2007 - Scorpio PDF Print E-mail
This will be an exciting time for you, for on September 2 Saturn, the taskmaster planet, will make its exit from your lofty tenth house of career status and promotion at long last. Ever since Saturn entered this part of your chart in July 2005 you began two years of career challenges that would test you to your toes. That strenuous environment at the office has been ongoing to this day.
You were willing to work hard and give your all to your job because you knew that if you did well, you'd later be a force to be reckoned with in your industry, and you were right! Although you probably thought this phase would never end, it will this month - on September 2 - when Saturn leaves Leo! Saturn always gives reward for having worked hard, so you can expect acknowledgment very, very soon, and we will talk about that.
If you think back to your career experience since July 2005, you will likely see that you were being challenged to learn, stretch, experiment, and master all facets of a new, ever-changing job. Saturn is known to put us in brand new situations to see how well we cope, and chances are that you did beautifully. Nothing in your past quite prepared you for this new role, but that is what made it so exciting. It certainly provided plenty of room to grow.
It is likely that you received several promotions over the past two years, but along with them came a few maddening frustrations, too. With so much energy being focused on this part of your life, it's not unusual to go through a whole spectrum of experiences and emotions. Your experience certainly was intense, but as a Scorpio, you tend to like things that way! One main problem, as you saw it, was that your progress was slow, especially considering how hard you were working. Saturn usually demands full and total devotion, and a great deal of patience, too.
Since the job was so new, you seem to have been assigned mentors or guides. In the beginning, that was fine with you, because you needed advice. As you began to become more proficient, however, you didn't need to be managed as closely. The supervision persisted, though, and that was somewhat annoying but that should end now, too. You've paid your dues, so soon you'll not have that critical, hard to please boss hovering anymore. This person is leaving, or you are - either way, this situation is just about over!
This month, watch what happens at the new moon solar eclipse on September 11. Although it is in Virgo, ruling your friends, a solar eclipse always brings your career into the discussion. There could be a surprising, very sudden professional development in the days that follow September 11.
Someone - a top boss, a client - will leave and the whole hierarchy will change. Whether you chose the changes you experience or they're put upon you doesn't matter. If you find the sands shifting under your feet, it means the universe wants to bring you a position that will better use your talents and abilities. The suddenness of the offer may take you completely by surprise, so you'll have to be ready for that.
Actually, it appears that a friend will provide the career opportunity for you. Or, it may be that a club or group you belong to helps you in some substantial way. Don't wave off professional offers - something appears to be afoot.
If you don't hear of any career opportunities now, you might by January 2008, an excellent time to shine professionally. Of course, responsible positions take a while to win, so you need to start early if you hope to move early in the New Year.
If you don't get something by January (hard to believe, but if this is the case) then your next window of opportunity would be the new moon in your career sector August 1. Even so, you'll have plenty of career action from early May through June 2008, too. Also, with Mars poised to move through your ninth house soon, positions and new deals that emerge in publishing, broadcasting, and academia will be incredibly special.
Romance has been on your mind too lately as you move to give more balance to your life. You may have had to make a decision at the lunar eclipse last month, August 28, about someone you've been seeing. That full moon lit your house of true love and may have revealed information that you had not been privy to before this.
This was a culmination point, so there are lots of possible outcomes. You could have met someone new if you are single and looking, or if you have been dating you may have broken up if you realized this person was not for you. You had an equal chance of moving forward with this person, though, so you could have become engaged. Some in-love Scorpios found out they were going to have a baby - quite a surprise - as the fifth house covers pregnancy, too. An eclipse will always clarify feelings one way or the other, and make those feelings very apparent.
Now a new moon solar eclipse will arrive on September 11 in your house of friendship. As you may have guessed, this eclipse is somewhat mixed. A solar eclipse almost always begins a chapter, so many new people will enter your sphere, and one or two could become very good friends to you, and even bring you down new, exciting paths.
With Uranus opposed to the Sun in mid-September, you may have a problem with one friend, and if you have a falling out, the split could prove very difficult to heal. There is always a feeling of weight and importance in regard to events that happen at eclipse time, so it may not be possible to ever repair that friendship.
Alternatively, a friend may unexpectedly announce that he's leaving your sphere, perhaps to move to a distant city. In this case, you will be sad to see this person go, especially since you had no idea that your friend had plans to relocate.
Not only do you have an eclipse in this house, but also Saturn is about to move into this house, and Saturn tends to bring responsibility. It is alternatively possible that a friend will need you to help him or her in some way. If so, it may take time to sort out your friend's problem but it appears you would be willing to do it. If you do, you would learn a great deal for it looks like you have no experience or background with this matter.
The same would be true if you decide to assume a position in a club - taking on the responsibility will help you in ways you can't quite imagine now. This house, of groups and friendship, will be the area in which you will see your largest area of growth in the future.
Ironically, with all this emphasis on your personal life, you will be assuming new career responsibilities over the coming months, so you won't have quite as much time to socialize as you have had in the past. Saturn will move into your friendship house this month, from September 2 onward for a two-year stay, so you'll become more selective about which new people you will allow into your life and to whom you will give your undivided attention. Saturn rules time, and therefore Saturn makes us more conscious of the preciousness of time.
Some old friends will fade out of your life now, but others will fill that gap quite nicely. Sometimes we go through years when all our friends stay the same, but this doesn't seem like one of those years - change is on the way, but those changes will benefit you.
Now let's turn our attention to your finances. Lately you've been spending a lot of money, but there is some indication that you may have had little choice but to do so. Lifestyle changes always involve spending money. Perhaps you recently moved house, returned to college, or needed to travel abroad. You may be preparing to get married or just gave birth to a baby. There are many possibilities. Good news! When Mars leaves this part of your chart on September 28, you won't be spending nearly as much money in the future.
Until you get to month's end, be careful about spending, especially on September 21, when Mars and Pluto will be at odds. You may encounter a haggle over finances that escalates into a very tense confrontation. It's no day to ask for a raise, apply for financial aid at a university, or try to convince an insurance company to give you a larger payout for a claim. This day has "no win" written all over it. Keep out of the line of fire.
Once Mars moves into Cancer on September 28, travel and interests abroad will become very intriguing. You may travel a great deal more from then on, perhaps for work, or be on the phone a lot with executives abroad. This emerging trend will be a big one, for it will last until May 9, 2008.
University study could be part of your master plan, so if you have been considering going back to college, whether for undergraduate or graduate work, send in your application at month's end. You may be amazed at how easily the pieces of your plan slip into place over the course of the coming months.
By month's end, you will have a very positive full moon, September 26, which will bring a work-related project to finality. You will need to put in a yeoman's effort to be sure all elements of the project are polished and prefect. You'll need to keep your health up to par lest you lower your resistance to colds. It might be a good idea to get a flu shot in early September and to treat yourself to extra rest.
This same full moon marks a prime time to begin a fitness routine, perhaps by signing up for a gym membership or for lessons in a new sport. Once you begin to see your time exercising not as time away from your job or family but as necessary time to strengthen those very same areas, you'll see amazing success on all fronts. This full moon could provide you with all the motivation you need. This full moon is in Aries, the sign of the competitor, so you may decide to enter an athletic game or contest this month and it would be an ideal time to do so.
Romantically, with Uranus in your house of true love, you'll continue to experience unexpected, even strange developments now and then. That trend won't end any time soon, as Uranus is set to stay in this part of your chart until 2011. Still, changes and surprises should generally end up on the plus side of the ledger, because Uranus will remain in such beautiful angle to your Sun. You may "win some and lose some," but in the end you will win far more than you lose! Lucky you!
Neptune rules your house of true love but Neptune is currently in weak, retrograde position. This has been going on since May 24, but Neptune will turn direct next month, on October 31. You are coming up to a dazzling birthday month in November, so start now by getting your wardrobe ready, dear Scorpio. You'll be stepping out, and it all starts early - the moment November opens.
In the meantime, Venus' turn from retrograde to direct motion on September 8 will be a welcome change. Not only will it help to boost your career reputation to even higher levels (not that you need it - everyone loves you already!) but you will also see your personal life take on a new brilliant luster.
Pluto, your personal ruler, has also been retrograde as well, so now you know why your social life has not been exactly thrilling. However, Pluto is due to turn direct at almost the same time as Venus, on September 7, so you will see your personal life take flight. You'll see what you've craved - progress on just about every level. Glory be, dear Scorpio. See what a difference one little month can make?
Romance will be best: September 8, 14, 15, 24, and 25.
Summary
You've been focused on your career over the past two years, and you've been making impressive progress. The problem is that developments have been slow and that pace has frustrated you.
Conditions never stay precisely the same for long however, and now, with the move of Saturn out of your career sector on September 2, you will find that your hard work will be rewarded, if not this month, soon. Since July 2005 Saturn has challenged you to meet new standards. You had to apprentice in a new role but that testing period is now over and you have proven your worth.
Some Scorpio readers were given every opportunity to excel by their influential superiors, while others had to battle an unfair political situation over the past two years. No matter what your experience, you had a high profile position where your success - and failures - were very evident for the entire world to see. This high profile position could have motivated you to do well but honestly, as a Scorpio, you tend to give a passionate, obsessive, "all or nothing" effort to everything you train your mind upon. Now, reaching the end of your testing period, you will finally be in line for rewards. Saturn always leaves a gift by the door as thanks for dealing with his rigors, and you will see proof of this almost immediately.
Armed with this experience, you now will become a force of nature, one not to be ignored. Promotions, accolades, and applause for a job well done are on the way. There is some possibility you'd need to relocate to accept a new position, and if so, you seem ready to do so. (You won't necessarily need to.) Pay attention to career offers all month and in coming months, too. Dear Scorpio, the world is finally your oyster.
On another level, with three major planets crowded into your house of friendship, friends will be a source of benefit but one may also be the source of angst this month. On the plus side, a friend could give you an amazing professional tip that leads to a new job or allows you to land an important client on or after the solar eclipse September 11.
However, on the minus side, it also appears that a friend may be leaving your environment. When the news hits, you'll know your relationship will change forever, and that could make you sad. There are other ways this may play out. Your friend may ask you to help her get through a troublesome phase or, in a less positive manifestation of this aspect, a friend may disappoint you or even enrage you, causing a permanent riff.
Saturn is entering your friendship area of your chart this month, dear Scorpio, so you will become more practical about friends and the time it takes to maintain those ties. If someone is adding to the overall happiness in your life, you will make the effort, but if not, you won't spend a lot of time trying to stay in touch. Saturn often twists our arm until we make a choice, and so as life becomes busier, you'll have to let go of some friendships, but add others that are more fulfilling and reflect your evolving interests and maturity.
Romantically, you seem to have experienced a startling development at the end of August, due to the lunar eclipse that occurred then, so this month you may still be coping with tough realities. You are cleaning out the cobwebs of your life, dear Scorpio. When you are done with this process you will be left with the relationship that will more closely match the person you have become, not the one you used to be.
With Venus' move to stronger orbit on September 8, if you are in an established relationship, your alliance will feel smoother, without the usual fussy phases that are prone to come up. Your own ruler, Pluto, will also move forward at approximately the same time of the month. If you've been undecided about where to take things, the answer will arrive, and you'll feel good about announcing what you feel should come next.
At the full moon, September 26, you will be working on meeting a deadline. Lots of energy will surround any full moon, so undoubtedly you will reach your goal at the end of the month if you focus in. Get enough sleep and protect your health against colds, as you will likely have to give all you've got at this time.
