March 2008 - Taurus PDF Print E-mail

You have a lot going on this month, so it's sure to be busy. February was an important, but also at times, frustrating month for your career. Now, as you move into March, the career bonfire that you built in February will still have enough hot embers left in it to allow you to cook up a few interesting opportunities.

You may have seen a client, boss, assignment, or even a job disappear in February, due to the total eclipse. This was not a "given" but only a possibility. It this proved true for you, however, you will be able to pitch new business or interview for one or two new positions this month quite successfully. The eclipse of February 6 was to benefit you, and sometimes it takes a little time to see how an eclipse will work its magic. As a Taurus, you don't like things to change because you are hard-wired to create stability. This time, however, you will see that things can easily work in your favor if you show a bit of effort.

Eclipses never quite reveal all in one act - there is always a second act to come. Something we read as "bad" is often really good, so don't be too quick to judge. Also, occasionally an eclipse won't deliver news until one month to the day later, so in that case, you may need to pay attention to signs, clues, news, and events that occur in your career on March 6, plus or minus four days.

Eclipses bring endings and beginnings, and whether we want things to end or not, change seems inevitable. Sometimes there is not much we can do other than accept those events and move forward. While we should always make a genuine effort to hold on to all relationships and endeavors that we feel are valuable, we should not be afraid to embrace the new, as uncertain as that path may seem at the time.

Alas, endeavors and relationships have a life of their own and if a situation or alliance is over, it is over and can't be reopened or renegotiated. This is often very evident at eclipse time, and since last month we had two eclipses (one on February 6 and a more emotional full moon eclipse on February 20), change was certainly in the air.

(If you missed the February's forecast last month, simply scroll down this report and find the link to the previous month's forecast that is found just below the summary.)

Mercury was retrograde last month, so some of the career opportunities that came up most likely were "off" in some way. You may have felt like you were in the tale of Tantalus and the grapes - the golden, juicy fruit was on the branch hanging here in full view, but like Tantalus, no matter how you tried, it stayed stubbornly out of reach. Thank goodness Mercury has since normalized its orbit.

As March begins, Mercury will be moving in a strong, sure course in your 10th house of fame and honors. Gone are the delays, mixed messages, missed deadlines, and proclivity for getting and giving wrong impressions that probably plagued you last month. Move forward with vigor - talks this month will be far more productive than they were last month.

Something seems to be popping with foreign interests abroad or in regard to a relationship in a city in your own country far from your present base. This opportunity may rocket out of nowhere just AFTER the new moon, March 7, and if so, talks would shape up quickly. Jupiter will be standing by to sprinkle Miracle-Gro on your plants, so watch things spout and grow like Jack in the Beanstalk's beans, right before your eyes.

If you were born on May 6, plus or minus four days, you will benefit most from the excellent new moon of March 7.

Other 9th house matters may capture your attention, too. Watch the areas I am about to list here now for one opportunity to arise that should be worth looking into. You may get news involving a publishing or broadcasting venture, or an opportunity in regard to a teaching or study post at a university. It may have something to do with a legal or court matter. You may already know what this might be about, or it may be that a new opportunity will come up.

Either way, it appears a friend will play a big part in what occurs, possibly because she or he recommends you, writes a memo, or does something else to make sure you get noticed.

News should follow in the days after the fantastically exciting new moon, March 7. This new moon will occur in your area of friendship, so it seems certain that you will see many more people this month than you would usually do. You should make an effort to get out of the house more - there's lots to be gained if you do.

If you've been contemplating whether to join a social club or professional organization, you should. Benefits will flow you to, but you may not see how much so until later. Send your application and any applicable fees for membership on or just after March 7.

There is no doubt that March will be a lively social month. Sudden invitations to attend a club mixer or friend's party may come in during the first and last weekend of March. Go, for these events seem unusually vibrant on many levels. You'd find a meeting of the minds with at least one kindred spirit. You may make a new friend, and you may also find that romance blossoms with someone else too, even if, as a single person, finding someone new to love is the last thing on your mind. Last month was a bit hard on some single-and-dating Taurus when the somewhat difficult February 20 eclipse occurred in the house of true love. (The same house rules pregnancy and care of children, as well as all creative efforts, so those areas were also under the microscope.)

At work, a major assignment or team project will reach culmination on the full moon March 21. That full moon will be more energetic than most, and as a result, you may feel some over-the-top tension, but don't worry. It's nothing you can't handle. The problem seems to stem from cranky, overworked co-workers and a demanding attitude from management and clients. Avoid locking horns with anyone, as that approach won't work. Keep your composure and do your best to keep your head down and out of the line of fire.

Admittedly, you will be working harder than usual, so you will need to keep your health strong. Near the full moon March 21 you may feel drained because you will be working up against a big deadline. This would not be the time of the month to invite your mother-in-law over for dinner, for example (not unless you just love her), as you should not be volunteering for any possible criticism from anyone! What I am saying is: Keep your schedule light and easy. You won't need extra things to do.

To keep you sane, Mars will move into a very compatible place in your chart, Cancer, and light your 3rd house of short distance travel. It looks like this month and next you'll have plenty of opportunities to visit nearby towns to see friends or family. Mars will light this part of your chart from March 4 to May 9, a good amount of time, so you get to choose when you'd like to go.

Speaking of home, with Uranus so close to the Sun, you can use the energy of Uranus by bringing highly creative ideas to change and update your decor. If you feel your home no longer reflects the real "you" here is your chance to come up with striking, innovative ideas. Your environment is more important than you might expect - a serene, cozy, clean, and organized space will help you feel in control of your life. Study magazine room layouts, view model rooms, and watch design-oriented TV shows to get you started. You'll come away with plenty of ideas.

Alternatively, you may have an unusual situation going on at home, so stay flexible. You may get sudden visitors over the weekend of Friday, March 7 - Sunday, March 9, or you may even decide to take in someone close who needs a roof over his or her head for a more extended stay. If you do, it would be a sudden decision.

Alternatively, if you have been trying to sell a house, be ready for a sudden offer, or if you've been trying to buy or rent a space, to stumble upon the perfect situation for you. When it comes to home, expect surprises from March 7 to 17. Be decisive or the offer will disappear as quickly as it comes up!

As the month ends, romance seems to be on your mind again. Two days will likely stand out as simply gorgeous: March 27 and 28. On Thursday, March 27, Mercury - the planet that governs your house of true love - will sparkle brighter than diamonds. Mercury will link to both Jupiter and Uranus, suggesting that offers to attend parties, to meet for dinner, or to travel could come up out of the blue.

Friday, March 28, will be even better, for Venus, your ruler, will link to Uranus, planet of surprise, in the most social part of your chart, your 11th house of friends, hopes, and wishes. This should be a dazzling night out, for Jupiter and Uranus will also be beautifully angled, bringing hope, inspiration, and a delicious feeling of optimism to all you do.

Were you born on or within four days of May 9? You will get a double dip of pleasure from May 27 and 28.

The moon will move into compatible Capricorn at late evening on March 28 on the East Coast of the United States and at 2:42 AM GMT in London, England. No matter where you happen to live, this assures you that the weekend of March 29-30 will be radiantly special for you. The moon always stays in a sign for two days, so on this weekend you'll be all set. Make plans!

Your best nights to enjoy love and romance this month will occur on March 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 20, and 27-30.

Summary:

Friends will have a strong hand in making sure you are considered for new professional opportunities, and this month, this trend continues. Take a moment to show your friends gratitude.

You may have luck too in regard to legal matters, especially on or after the new moon, March 7, and in regard to anything having to do with academia. If you are interviewing for admission to a university or to teach at one, the interviews you have this month should yield excellent results.

There's a good chance you'd make a few new friends now too, so be open to that possibility. The message of March is clear - although the weather outside may still be frightful, mixing with friends will be totally delightful. So join a committee, run for office, or send your application for a new group you'd like to join just after the new moon March 7.
