You may be very serious about your career, but this month your mind and heart will be squarely trained on at least one personal relationship. Everything else seems to pale by comparison, although a creative project could also take center stage. With the Sun, moon, and Saturn in your house of true love, plus two eclipses emphasizing love and friendship, it seems you will need to sort out your feelings for a lover and deal with developments with a friend. You may also be focused on a child or pregnancy.

In order to understand what is going on, we need to step back to look at events that have been operating on you in the background for a year or more.

Starting in March 2006, a series of powerful eclipses have been falling in your love and friendship sectors. They have forced you to see yourself in a new light while at the same time you were being challenged to consider the type of romantic partner who would make you truly happy. If you were dating and having disagreements, the eclipses showed you that you'd have to work out problems or leave - it was becoming that clear. For the first time you might have had to examine how you felt about certain issues and negotiate them with your partner.

Eclipses bring clarity and reason to a situation, and the new information changes the complexion of a situation. You may have been surprised at the end of August, when something was revealed about someone you love (or thought you loved). What you learned probably changed the picture you had of this person in a dramatic way. You could have come to this information in various ways, but the way you found out doesn't matter as much as what you do with the information that you have now. As long as you feel the information is accurate, you will have to add it into the mix and decide what to do about it.

We all build certain visions in our mind of people we know, but when it turns out that the vision you've held on to is very different from the real one, it's time to make a correction. The job of an eclipse is to urge you to do just that, but it's often something we do reluctantly, for it can be a painful process. You may now feel you need to break up, or, if you feel there is a strong bond between you, to make an attempt to iron things out.

To help you understand the big picture, we need to talk about the nature and timing of eclipses. Eclipses fall in families of signs for about 24 months at a time. The ones that have been going on recently, since 2006, have been in Virgo and Pisces. These eclipses have been examining your romantic and platonic relationships, and will complete their "tour of duty" on February 21, 2008.

Eclipses typically come twice a year every five-and-a-half months as a full moon and new moon. That means there are usually two arriving at a time. Think of an eclipse as a contractor. Some people need a lot of "fixing" done while others not much at all. Some need to take a wrecking ball to the relationship but others will feel their relationship is strong and will want to improve communication to clear up any small misconceptions. Ah, everyone's different.

The very first eclipse in this family arrived on March 14, 2006. Two more followed later last year, on September 7 and September 21, 2006. Six months ago, this year, you may have noticed a strong development on March 3 or 18, 2007. Then last month, on August 28, 2007, we had a full moon lunar eclipse in your house of true love, and this month, a solar eclipse on September 11, 2007 is due in your house of friendship.

All of the eclipses are joined in a theme. If you look back over the dates of the eclipses, you will probably see that each one advanced a discussion until the issue was settled or until you were emotionally able to deal with what was happening.

Now we have two more eclipses - the one appeared on August 28 and one is due this month, on September 11. Watch those dates carefully for news in your romantic life. With Uranus in a hard angle to the Sun and moon on both days, you may have to deal with some sort of information that you are not anticipating and that would require a quick decision.

There will be one last eclipse in this series next year in 2008, on February 21, 2008. After that you will have evolved to a new level of maturity and insight. The eclipses will move on to another part of your chart and your romantic life will not bring as many sudden episodes. Things will seem calmer and more settled.

Not all eclipses affect everyone in the same way. Astrology is based on mathematics, so if your Sun and other planets are within five degrees of the eclipses, you will receive news. If your planets are positioned too far from the mathematical degree of the two eclipses, you won't likely feel too much of an effect. This is especially true if you had fully discussed a problem earlier.

In September, there will be a solar new moon eclipse on September 11. This eclipse is also quite "hot" in that Uranus will directly oppose the Sun. A solar eclipse will usually brings very good news, but this particularly eclipse seems to keep you on edge.

A friend will be the focus. You may hear that a friend has been making a play for your partner or a friend may contribute unsolicited advice to you about your love life. The fact that anyone would inject their unsolicited opinion about something so personal could make you see red. By the looks of your chart at the time, you will find this behavior outrageously inappropriate. I see you being shocked because of Uranus' involvement in this eclipse.

Fortunately, you are a Taurus, and the eclipses are Virgo and Pisces that are highly supportive to your Sun sign. This suggests that although you may have a few obstacles to get over, and perhaps hear news you wish you hadn't been told, the outcome of this episode should benefit you. The August 28 eclipse was to help you see a love relationship as it is, and the September 11 eclipse will do something similar with a platonic friendship.

If you were born on April 23, plus or minus four days, you will benefit from the August 28 eclipse that already occurred last month.

If you were born on May 8, plus or minus five days, you will benefit most from the September 11 eclipse.

As said earlier, however, if you settled an issue (or broke up) at an earlier time, then you already dealt with this issue, and you won't feel this round of eclipses as strongly as you did on one or two of the other earlier ones.

Living arrangements seem to be a topic of discussion too at this solar event on September 11, because a solar eclipse and the Sun ("solar") will always bring into the discussion your sector of home, property, and family. If you break up with your partner (not saying you will, but if you do), one of you will move out, changing your living situation radically.

If your love life has no bearing on what is happening with your home and property, your domestic / family life will still require attention, too. Both areas of your life will be lit up. A family member, most likely male (such as your father), may suddenly need attention.

An unexpected expense may come up involving your home this month due to the hard angle Mars will make to Uranus on September 3. That aspect may still influence you by the eclipse September 11. Although your outlook for money is really positive, expenses involving home could concern you in early September.

Generally, however, your financial picture is improving. You will still have high expenses this month, due to the move of Mars through your second house, but as of September 28, those will calm down. Your career is going well, so while you may have to cover expenses, you will have money coming in, too. Money goes in, money goes out, but it appears you have enough to cover the expenses, with some to spare!

Something else is happening this month that will also have a profound effect on your close relationships. For the first time in nearly three decades, Saturn will now move into your love sector on September 2. This is a signal you will look at the long-term possibilities with all those you date, and you won't be interested in "just marking time." Love, for you, is suddenly about to become more serious. You may look for a new set of qualities for a prospective mate, beyond the fun you have together.

This is new, for this year - 2007: The affectionate, physical side of your relationship was strong and exciting, and may have even overpowered everything else. You may not have felt any need to reflect on any other aspects of the relationship. For that, you have Jupiter to thank, but Jupiter won't be in that house forever!

You do need to delve deeper into questions about your intended partner if you hope to have a future together. To do that you need to shift your focus, and be a bit more realistic, and that changes the relationship a little. You need to ask yourself if you both can endure the wear and tear of life together, with all the messy ups and downs and responsibilities that life and love bring. If love is real, becoming more now will not hurt your relationship but, in fact, will make it stronger. Saturn will help you in this process.

Overall, your friends will later say that they've noticed a deeper sense of purpose in you. By the solar eclipse September 11, you will be ready to leave an unhappy alliance (if you are in one) so that you can be free to find something better.

The only danger in all this is that Saturn emphasis may make you too cautious. If you've been hurt in a past love relationship, you may become too fearful that you would be hurt again. Be mindful of this, dear Taurus. There is such a thing as being too realistic, too practical, or too cautious. Let me give you an example, this time involving the idea of whether to have children or not.

The fifth house also rules pregnancy, so, for example, with Saturn making you super-practical, you may be too afraid to have children, possibly because of the cost of raising a child. If the cost worries you, whatever you do, don't read those magazine articles that give you one lump sum of how much it will cost to care for a child until they're out of college. They are too frightening!

If you read an article about how much it would cost you to be well stocked in toothpaste over the course of your lifetime, you'd never brush your teeth! We are not accustomed to thinking in terms of lump sum figures. Besides, those articles don't take into the account the passion that will be stirred within you once you have that dear little baby. Never discount love! Your love for that child will help you find the money you need. So I say, don't read those articles! The money will come! Stop worrying so much!

Creatively, you are reaching new heights and that will send your career skyward. Mars will send Neptune an elegant vibration on September 9, a day when your creative ideas will be applauded and when you'll be able to charge top dollar for your artistic ideas. The eclipse on September 11 could bring news of a new creative project if you didn't already get major approval for one at the end of August. If you are creative, the projects you are working on now seem to have extra weight and importance.

The one day I want you to be careful in career matters will be on or near September 3. You might not agree with your boss or client on that day and have an altercation with that person. Otherwise it should be smooth sailing.

Another strong development in your chart will help your financial situation, and that will be the move of Pluto to direct speed on September 8. Pluto has been moving at sluggish retrograde speed since March 31, and during the past five months, you've had to be patient while financial progress lagged. If you were trying to get a mortgage or new financing plan, sell a house, or sort out an insurance payment due to you, you probably encountered glitches. Now, all kinds of financial talks will proceed well to a logical, upbeat conclusion.

Next month, Mercury will go retrograde, so if you do have to settle a financial deal, you will need to do so soon, before you reach October. Although Mercury turns retrograde on October 13, you will need to stay as far away from that date as possible.

When you think of Mercury, the planet of intellect and commerce, about to retrograde, you may groan. It does mark a three-and-a-half week period of waiting, watching, and correcting faults. But, dear Taurus, see the bright side. This year when you are doing your holiday shopping, by November and December, Mercury will no longer be retrograde. Returns will be down this year, and stores will have more stock for you to choose from. This is good news! It's been years since Mercury has been orbiting in a sure, steady direct path in the most important retail shopping months, so you will have fewer problems shopping for your loved ones. So rejoice! We deal with Mercury retrograde in October, but by November 1, we'll be done!

Getting back to our talk about September, by the time you get to the full moon on September 26, you will want to wind down. You may be in need of rest, if only to catch your breath.

That full moon will light your twelfth house, so you may need to visit a hospital, doctor, or dentist, either to have a procedure for yourself or to help a friend or relative who is having one.

Be sure to take good care of your teeth his month, as that full moon could bring pain if there's a filling you should have attended to or a wisdom tooth that you've been told needs to come out. (This full moon will be in Aries, ruling the head, so things may come to a point where you can't ignore things any more.)

This full moon would be an ideal time to start thinking about making a few changes that would allow you to become healthier. The twelfth house rules the subconscious mind, so you might go for hypnosis to rid yourself of a bad habit, or see a coach who can help you. With Mercury so well angled to Jupiter, talking about your concern can really help - find someone who will not only listen, but who can offer tips to be successful.


Summary:

Affairs of love and friendship in theory should be easy to navigate, but alas, in life, this is seldom true. You will see a case in point in September. Someone you care about romantically or platonically could prove to be a source of frustration or trouble. In fact, love and friendship may even collide this month. For example, if you've suspected that a friend has made the ultimate betrayal by getting involved with your romantic partner, you would find out now. Conversely, if a friend doesn't approve of your partner, she may voice her opinion and enrage you with her attitude. There are many possible applications, but you get the idea. Keep your armor on.

The eclipses are looking for things to correct, but if you've nothing to address, you will sail through this period more easily. Fortunately, these eclipses do blend well with your Sun sign, so you benefit from them, either eventually or immediately.

Saturn will enter your house of true love on September 2 for a two-year stay. This taskmaster client often presents testing challenges. In your case, Saturn's testing will center on the level of your commitment to someone you've been dating. You will become very practical and self-aware now, and in the coming two years get a better idea of the type of person that will make you happy.

Saturn could bring on a separation too, either by choice or necessity. (If your partner needs to go to medical school or travel a great deal for work, as two examples, you may have to endure this, but it would only be temporary.) Admittedly, it is also possible you will part if you are not happy and feel there is no future, if only to become free for another relationship.

In a different manifestation of Saturn's presence, you may need to have discussions about a surprise pregnancy, or to make special plans for a child you have now. Saturn can make you a bit too cautious or fearful, however - realize that you need to balance this trend with a bit of courage!

Fortunately, Venus, your guardian planet, will turn to direct motion on September 8. After having had an out of phase Venus, this change will brighten your view of life, despite any challenges that you are dealing with in other areas. This stronger orbit of Venus will also help you see enormous progress on a dream dear to you. If you've been frustrated at how slowly your progress has been when it comes to your dearest aims, hold on to your hat - things are about to speed up enormously!

If you have no one special, or if the person you are seeing is right for you, you will sail through this period with ease. There is no "destiny" here - you are in charge - so the final outcome will have more to do with you and how you've treated certain people in your life in the past, and how they've reciprocated your kindness.

With much emphasis on personal relationships this month, if you are unattached, you could meet a new lover or make an important new friend at mid-month. Solar eclipses work that way - one way of life ends and a new one begins. So even if the outcome could be very opposite, things like this happen frequently at eclipse time.

Romance will be best on September: 8, 11 (wild card), 13, 20, 21, 25, 28, and 28.

Financially, you entered a high spending phase in August, and that trend will continue in September. If you need a loan, business investment, or mortgage, you'll find bankers and investors to be more responsive to your proposals once Pluto turns direct speed from September 8 onward. If your request for funds was turned down recently, try again with another source. There will be one difficult financial day, one to avoid negotiation, and that's September 21 when Pluto will be under siege by Mars.

The eclipse on September 11 could change your domestic or family situation suddenly, so keep your antenna up.

Many Taurus have been working on a real estate deal (or hoping to get accord on one), and others want to start a home renovation project. If that includes you, September 13 should turn out to be a banner day, when things will go exceedingly well.

By month's end, you may feel like hibernating, as you should! You will have a full moon lighting your house of privacy and rest. Don't burn candles at both ends at this time or there will be health consequences. While you can usually get by with little sleep or not the right foods, don't depend on pressing your luck at this time. Dear Taurus, be good to yourself!
