The eclipses are back in your sign, and as a result, your view of the world is about to be transformed - again. You have become sensitive to this family of eclipses because they've been falling in Virgo and Pisces since March 2006. In the subsequent months, a whole series of events have pushed and prodded you to move into a new reality. There have been sudden life changes and a real sense of urgency to get on with the process of living.
Chances are that changing conditions have been not of your making. There is no "blame" here to assign, just lots of new circumstances that "are." Unexpected events tend to happen at eclipse time, but this time that tendency will be magnified because Uranus will be very active.
What will be important to focus on is not the actual event that you experience now, but in the way you choose to respond to it. Eclipses force us to reveal our character and motivation. Some eclipses also require us to suddenly take stock and reassign priorities. Set your compass, dear Virgo, for you must be ready for another change in direction. One chapter of your life has come to an end, and a new one is starting up. You will need new skills to traverse the territory you are moving into now, and that is actually the exciting part.
Keep in mind that eclipses act like contractors who look for weak links in the overall "structure" of the endeavor or relationship. If you lose something you want or break a relationship, realize that it probably wasn't as valuable as you thought. Honestly, you'll be better off free of the situation or that person.
In this phase, all the while, you need to take care of your own needs, and be a little less worried about others think you should do. Indeed, this month you will learn how to express yourself independently in various areas - through the choices you make, the work do, and creative projects you bring into being. You will also signal this in the way you dress and arrange your looks, and in your overall lifestyle. Everything in your life is currently under the microscope and will be redefined. As you change inwardly, there will be outward manifestations. Think of eclipse time as catch up time, when the person others see on the surface is the person you are inside.
Typically we have four eclipses a year and they always arrive in pairs, two weeks apart, as a new moon and full moon. The first eclipse in this series arrived on March 14, 2006. Two more eclipses followed six months later, on September 7 and 21, 2006.
This year, two more eclipses came by on March 3 and 18, 2007. Late last month, there was a full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces on August 28, and you may still be feeling the effects of what occurred then as the month opens. The next eclipse, a new moon solar eclipse, is due in Virgo on September 11. That one will open a ready path, and allow you to announce your future plans, many contingent on conclusions you came to on the lunar eclipse, August 28.
As you see, this is a critical time for you, where big life events are about to take shape, ones you will remember your whole life. You may get married or divorced, or make a major decision about a partner. There are lots of possibilities. You may publish a book or launch an artistic creative project. You may be offered an important new career position or change residences, perhaps by buying or selling a house / condo. If you don't move, you may feel like you moved when you renovate your home from top to bottom.
Of course, not all these things will happen to you (more likely one or two) but the point is, big life events happen at eclipse time - doubly so when the eclipse is in your sign.
All eclipses are joined in theme to form a whole, like pearls on a necklace. Think back to the issues that came up last March, for discussions that came up then will be advanced now. It's almost as if the universe knows that we can only deal with a certain amount of change before we get to meltdown stage. For that reason, the kind universe gives us six months to adjust to what's occurred before sending the next wave of changes. By the time the Virgo-Pisces series of eclipses are over - a period of 24 months - on February 21, 2008, you will be able to survey the territory you've traveled over. You will see how far you have come in such a short time. The key element to eclipse time is speed!
Eclipses fall in your own sign every nine years, but arrive to exact degree every 19 years. Think back to August 28 and September 11, 1988 to see if anything vital happened in your life at that time, and what themes emerged back then that may be revisited this month. Let's say way back then you had a special life event - you had a baby. You learned to be a parent. Now, let's say the same eclipse is coming back and you are seeing your child go off to college. These two seemingly unrelated events are actually related - in both cases, you were learning to care for your child in the right way. This time, your mission will be to learn to let go and let your little bird fly!
The closer your birthday falls to an eclipse, the stronger the affect of that eclipse will be on you. For example, if your birthday falls on (or near) September 3, the March 3 eclipse earlier this year probably had a bigger impact on your life than the one that occurred last month, August 28. That's because that March 3rd eclipse directly challenged the degree of your Sun, and I listed birthdays of September 3 back in my March forecast. Without getting too technical, if one of your planets or the Sun or moon is touched by an eclipse, you will feel things quite directly.
As a mutable sign, you pride yourself on being able to adjust to just about anything at a moment's notice. Intellectually you know change is good, although admittedly, emotionally it can take you a little while to catch up. When you feel this lag between mind and heart, you feel flutters in your stomach and have a few problems with digestion. That's only one reason of several you should take good care of your health this month.
Eclipses are draining, and sometimes they bring up other health issues. If one comes up, seek medical advice without delay. If someone you love becomes ill - that would more likely be a parent - you will need to have your schedule light to be able to help your family member. Your parents are showing up in your chart, so just be there, if only to keep Mom or Dad company.
Last month brought an emotional ending because you had a full moon eclipse. This month's eclipse will be a solar one, and should open up a new opportunity or allow you to travel along a new road. This eclipse finds Uranus acting up, so you may find yourself suddenly saying "Enough!" and breaking off from a situation to go in a radical new direction. That's not bad - sometimes we have to get to that point before we can begin anew.
This month's eclipse will put the emphasis on what you plan to do about all that you learned at the end of last month. You will also be integrating what you have been thinking about weeks and months earlier, too. There are no right or wrong answers to all this, of course, nor any "fated" outcomes. You will get to decide what happens next.
Romantically, if you have no partner, and you are not dating, you probably won't feel the eclipse in your romantic life. In your case, you actually have a sensational forecast! You will enter one of the most fantastic romantic periods of your life on December 17, 2007, a trend that will continue for a full year. In fact, you will have one of the most sparkling aspects for love of any of the signs!
For now, your best romantic dates will fall on September 1 - 2, 13, 15, 20 - 21, 28 and 29.
Attached? You might be having a harder time. It appears someone - a partner or collaborator - has done something that has caused you heartache. The eclipse will bring all sorts of new information to light and although you thought you knew someone well, it now may become evident that it was not the case.
This person apparently has been operating under the radar, so you probably had no idea this was happening. If you had known the whole story, you could have done something to prevent the situation from getting out of hand. Now it all may be too late.
The truth will come out, so you may begin to wonder if you'll ever take anyone's words at face value again. Of course you will, but admittedly you will probably become more circumspect and self-protective for now. That can be a good development, dear Virgo.
The person in question is someone who is very close to you or knows you well in a romantic or business sense. This accounts for why this whole episode feels so difficult. While you may be worried about that person's welfare, it is more likely that you will find his or her behavior worrisome. This person is skilled at pressing your buttons, so it would be hard for you not to react. If you were not born near August 28, you won't be too strongly affected by the eclipse.
If you were born near September 11, the eclipse on that day will focus you less on emotional issues and more on rational, logical facts. Although no eclipse is exactly easy, this one should be somewhat easier to navigate. As said, Uranus will be active, so you will have obstacles and unanticipated events, but you are good at dealing with things like this.
Your focus this month seems to be on a male, possibly your father, as the Sun will be highlighted. If you are a female reader, then alternatively you may be thinking about your husband or steady boyfriend because "Sun" in a chart always points to a male.
At the end of August, you may have been focused on a female, most likely your mother, or, if you are a male reader, your wife or girlfriend. If none of those individuals have been making news in your life, next in line would be any prominent female in your life, from roommate to boss or coworker.
The closer your birthday falls to the date of the just-past lunar full moon eclipse of August 28, the stronger and more obvious the changes will be in your life. The same is true of the solar eclipse, September 11. If you were born within five days of this date, you will experience shifts.
News mostly arrives on the date of the eclipse or within that week. However, eclipses are also known to occur plus or minus one month from the eclipse (within a five-day period), too.
On top of all that is going on this month, you also have a monumental development - the arrival of Saturn into Virgo on September 2. This is the first time since 1977 - 1979 that this planet of hard work and maturity will visit Virgo. If your birthday falls in August, you are feeling the effects quite directly.
Keep in mind that Saturn will never force you to do anything. The new responsibilities you take on will be ones you voluntarily accept. You may feel that the opportunity represents a position too sweet to pass up despite the high level of commitment and hard work you will have to make. Saturn often asks you make sacrifices and an apprenticeship in a completely new area, but after you've mastered whatever it is, you can take a deep breath and say, "Wow, I did that!" Keep in mind that the job of Saturn is to make dreams real and tangible and to show you that you can do far more than you ever thought you could. You will need to apply lots of elbow grease, but you will soon find it is worth it - it's YOUR dream!
To cheer you, let me share a little story. I was given the chance to start a website that I would license to Time Warner in 1995 when Saturn was exactly on my Sun. My site was to be called Astrology Zone. Saturn was also in terribly hard angle to practically every natal planet in my chart (mainly because my natal chart is that way). That's OK - an "afflicted" chart like that actually brings enormous energy. Keep in mind that the universe will never bring challenges without offering you the tools to help you cope with them!
The funny thing is, often the tools we need to solve a problem are right in front of us, but we fail to see them. You may miss the answer to a sticky problem you are facing because the solution is right under your nose. Or you may have discarded that solution because you have discounted its usefulness. We all have advantages, skills, and assets in any situation, but the trick is to activate the right one, and to take a few chances on new applications. I leave you with this idea: Find your power in the obvious, dear Virgo.
Now and in coming months, you will be urged to live in a way that accurately reflects your values. With Uranus so active, if you have to fight convention and popular opinion to do so, so be it - it's time to let you be you!
By month's end, a full moon in your eighth house of other people's money will end a negotiation or bring you other big financial news, such as the approval of a mortgage, tax refund, or game show prize. If you need to loan money or expect a certain payment that is owed to you, it will show up on or near September 26 plus or minus four days.
This full moon will occur in the entrepreneurial sign of Aries, so you may be looking for venture capital or other sponsorship for a business idea. Your timing is good! The money you need should show up soon.
Next month, on October 9, Mercury will begin to retrograde, and by then you will need to have everything set. I will advise you not to sign any important papers in October, not even in early October. You need to get as FAR away from Mercury retrograde as possible!
If you owe money, it appears you will settle up at this time, but as said, this could be a time when you see money arrive for you as well. If you are working on a divorce settlement or business deal, or expect money from an insurance company, this full moon will give you your best chance to see it materialize. Of course, nothing is easy, and this full moon will be no exception. This moon will be in hard angle to Pluto, so you will feel pressure to accept points as presented, but you can still try to negotiate some of them to be more pleasing to you.
One last piece of news: Pluto will move direct on September 8, and with that help you will make progress in a real estate or family situation after months of delays. Real estate will really "sing" in December, so keep that in mind - it will be your best month in decades for settling all sorts of domestic matters! Perhaps this month you will find a solution but implement it in December. It will be an exciting time, with lots to look forward to!
Summary:
You may still be smarting over events that happened in late August, due to the appearance of the lunar eclipse in Pisces. Alas, as September dawns, it's clear there'll be no rest for the weary. The universe keeps on turning, and if a sticky, difficult-to-change condition has remained pesky, this month the new moon solar eclipse in Virgo, along with Saturn's entry into your sign as well, will bring things to a point that you can no longer ignore. Be decisive. You are clearly ready to assume new responsibilities, and those new duties will arrive shortly. Virgo's greatest strength has always been to sum up a situation accurately and to deal with realities prudently. Those qualities will come in handy now.
Forces that have been gathering on your horizon since as long ago as March 2006 will now come to bear. They'll be no escape from them. This month may prove to you once and for all that sometimes something has to get worse before it gets better - you'll be motivated to take an assertive stance, even if doing so is painful.
There are several areas that will take all your attention: a confrontational relationship, an evolving or shifting domestic situation, and (possibly) the care of someone close who is ill.
If you should feel stressed at times - and this month, everyone will at some point - then put your energies where whey will do the most good: in your career. With Mars zooming through your career sector, you are making extraordinary progress, and soon everyone will know your name. A professional decision that you made earlier this summer can now be put into action - don't delay. Your home situation will soon be glowing (if it isn't already), so be grateful for what is working in your life.
Throughout September, your own needs will need tending, too. You will soon see that finding a way to control all the parts and people in your life will increasingly become a priority for you. This push-pull will be very evident on or near September 21, when Mars opposes Pluto.
A financial matter will need to be settled within four days of the full moon, September 26. You may divide funds in a divorce, pay off a big loan, or receive a large check. Alternatively, you may invest in a new venture. Again, you seem tense at this time, perhaps because you know you'll need to stay alert to make sure nothing escapes your eagle eyes. While this month is sure to be strenuous, you are setting the stage for a new future - and that, dear Virgo, can be exciting. Reinvent yourself! The new you will please you.
Adverse events often reveal exceptional wisdom and grace, something to keep in mind from Sept. 11 - 25. By month's end there won't be any more surprises due. In fact, you are moving into one of the very best portions of the year, November and December. Trust in this, because as hard as life can be sometimes, it tends to do a "correction" to balance things out with a dollop of sterling good luck - that's what I will be reporting for you, so keep your eyes on the horizon!
